'I think I am going to die,' Richmond Hill abduction victim says on tape
August 23, 2018
"York Regional Police say they are investigating the possible armed abduction of a woman from the porch of a home in Richmond Hill early on Thursday morning.

At about 2:50 a.m. on Thursday, police say a woman rang the doorbell of a home on High Tech Road and Silver Linden Drive, in the Bayview Avenue and Highway 7 area, but no one answered it.

A security camera positioned at the door then recorded a male, carrying what appeared to be a handgun, approaching the victim.

The female victim is heard repeatedly saying “stop,” with the armed male replying that he should “slam one in your head right now.”

“Get in the **** car right now,” he is then heard saying.

“I think I am going to die,” the female victim then says.

The suspect is then seen pulling the victim by her hair out to the street and into a waiting vehicle, which appears to be a small SUV.

“I’m gonna kill you,” he is heard saying before the car door shuts.

The suspect is described as a black male with short hair. He was last seen wearing a hoodie and possibly carrying a handgun."

I wish they hadn't beeped out the cursing. Did she maybe call him "Johnny" or something like that? I'm wondering if his name is in there under the beeps.

Alarming!
The area is not known for crime. There is a shopping center directly south of the intersection mentioned that has many large stores, fastfood and sprawling carparks... Maybe she ran from a car parked or that was using a drive-thru or gas station?

Sorry for being confused:

Woman rings doorbell at random door, possibly looking for help/rescuing. Nobody answers, or nobody is home. Armed man drags her by her hair into a car a drives away after uttering death threats?

Did I get that right?

Domestic dispute gone terribly bad maybe?

With the hoodie on her head and not facing the camera, makes it a lot harder to ID her. Too bad she didn't look at the door or give her name.
I wondered why she wasn't screaming, that would maybe wake people up at 2AM.

FWIW, I was always taught to scream 'FIRE' in an emergency as more people will respond to that than to 'HELP'.

Many years ago, we had a young nanny on our street dragged away in a very similar way. No gun but similar language, the children were left on the porch as he dragged her away in broad daylight. Turned out she had been trying to 'escape'
his hold over her. He was a pimp. Very scary stuff. The parents were horrified but the young woman was quite lovely, poor thing.
