''A popular DJ in Toronto’s gay village has been identified as Toronto’s 26th homicide of the year''.
A support organization in the heart of the gay Village took to social media as word of the muder spread.
“The 519 grieves with our Church Street community this evening after learning of the loss of Peter Elie. DJ Blue Peter was the heart and soul of many of our gathering spaces for over 20 years, where he shared his passion for music and bringing our communities together,” the 519 said on social media.
''A picture of Elie on social media shows him with some sort of Carmen Miranda headgear.''
“This is what happens when the Drag Queen leaves their accessories unattended,” he wrote.''
Anyone with information on this homicide is asked to contact police at 416-808-7400, or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).''
