Friday, June 4, 2010:
8:45 a.m. Kyron Horman and his stepmother, Terri Moulton Horman, attend a science fair at Skyline Elementary School. He is seen walking down a hallway toward a classroom. Sheriff Dan Staton said a fellow student saw Kyron near his classroom in the late morning hours of Friday, but he otherwise has not been seen.
3:30 p.m. Kyron fails to return home on his school bus as scheduled. His family calls the school.
4 p.m. The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office is first contacted about Kyron's disappearance. They begin to prepare for a search of the area.
5:45 p.m. Search and rescue teams begin to scour the area. They cover miles around Skyline Boulevard.
Saturday, June 5:
Noon: The sheriff's office holds a news conference and says the search for Kyron is still a missing person case and not a criminal investigation. He asks that civilian volunteers stay away from the search area to allow for the police agencies to conduct an efficient search.
4 and 8 p.m.: Authorities hold additional news conferences and said the FBI and the National Guard have joined the effort. Search and rescue crews completed an "immediate grid search" around the school, sheriff's deputies said, but plan to work night and day to find Kyron.
Sunday, June 6:
10 a.m.: Skyline students and parents return to school so they can be interviewed by detectives about Kyron's disappearance.
9 p.m.: The sheriff escalates Kyron's disappearance to a missing endangered child case, but does not call it a kidnapping.
Monday, June 7:
8:45 a.m.: Classes resume at Skyline School with counselors on hand.
Tuesday, June 8
Noon: Sheriff's deputies hold a briefing and say phone tips have led investigators to search more specific areas, but did not release new information about the case.

Noon: Kyron's family breaks their silence with a statement, which is read by sheriff's deputies at a news conference. Authorities also announced search and rescue crews from across the state were called to northwest Portland.
Thursday, June 10
Noon: Sheriff's deputies announce hundreds of new searchers have joined the effort, in addition to horse-mounted patrols and a National Guard helicopter.
Friday, June 11 1 p.m.: Kyron's family makes their first public appearance since his disappearance. Kyron's father and stepfather read statements thanking search and rescue crews and asking people to remain hopeful.

2 p.m.: The search for Kyron is expanding to new areas, deputies said, and may be one of the biggest search efforts in the state's history. The family also answered several questions through their Multnomah County liaison.

I am still working on this. I need to add in some suggestions I've received as well as some new info. I am also thinking I should put it in a word doc and then upload it here - will that work?
What we know:
• School opened that day at 8 AM
• Stepmother drove him to school that morning
• Stepmother and Kyron went to his class, dropped off backpack, took picture of Kyron in front of his project, also took photo of Kyron’s friend in front of his project (same classroom – pictures support that)
• Students were to meet in classroom at 8:45 to be put in groups of about 5 and one parent chaperone to tour other classrooms
• Science fair to end at 10 AM
• Talent Show at 1 PM
WHEN/WHERE LAST SEEN:
“His stepmother said she last saw him at 8:45 a.m. Friday. She watched him walk toward his classroom after the pair toured the school's science fair.”

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:
A white truck driven by a lady was seen by Jim Kelley and his neighbor Fri at 3 pm and Sat at 2 am near his home off of Cornelius Pass
"We had two odd sightings of a vehicle on our road Friday," Kelley said. Around 3 p.m., he and a neighbor reported seeing a white pick-up truck with a female driver pull to the end of the long road, idle and then turn around. Then again at 2 a.m. Saturday morning, a similar white pickup truck appeared, idled and when a neighbor loosed her dogs, eased away.
"A, it was strange to have a car there, any car there, that we didn't know, and B, it was strange to have a vehicle come down our dead-end road twice in the same day, hours after a little boy goes missing," said Kelley. "That's beyond rare."
Kelley said authorities have twice searched the deep ravine, creek and railroad tracks located near the end of his street by air and on foot.

A truck driver heading toward Portland on Hwy 26 on Sat. afternoon said a dirty grey/black truck turned in front of him onto Salmonberry RD – inside was a boy who appeared startled and who looked like Kyron.

Police issue a questionnaire to the staff and parents of Skyline school that includes specific questions about whether they saw Terri Moulton Horman, the step-mother, on the day he vanished, as well as the white family pickup. Capt. Jason Gates said the family supported that effort and he declined to say whether the step-mom was a suspect or person of interest in the case. Read/print out questionnaire

August, 2002 - Desiree 8 months pregnant, files for divorce.
September 9th, 2002 - Kyron is born.
2003 - Kaine & Desiree officially divorce. Kyron lives with Desiree (shared custody)
One month after divorce - Desiree fears Kaine will "remove our children from their residence". Restraining order issued with orders that neither parent can take children away. (source: WW)
2004 - Desiree goes to Canada for treatment of a life-threatening kidney failure.
2004 - Kaine brought in Terri and son to care for Kyron. (corrected via statement bio mom made about not knowing Terri).

Early morning The July 5th edition of People magazine begins to hit newsstands. The issue is the second to feature Kryons story. Multnomah County Sheriff Dan Staton says all but one of his seven detectives are working on the case with another 14 investigators from other agencies. But as Kyron's disappearance hits the four-week anniversary and costs mount for the cash-strapped county, Staton could not say whether an arrest or resolution is coming any time soon -- nor how long the office can afford to sustain the effort. Investigators searched Spicher's condominium in Tualatin last week, and have interviewed people who saw Spicher on June 4, the day Kyron disappeared. Spicher was a presence at the Horman house after Kyron's father, Kaine Horman, moved out and filed for divorce and a restraining order against Terri Horman in late June. She also was seen driving Terri Horman to and from her attorney's office in downtown Portland. Spicher is not the first person who has assisted Terri Horman in recent weeks to have been drawn into the investigation. Police also said Michael Cook, who was also seen at the Horman home after Kaine Horman moved out, has been interviewed by authorities. Cook was a high school friend of Kaine Horman who showed up at the couple's home after Kyron disappeared.

If the costs exceed the budget, he'll return to the board this fall.

The Oregonian reports that detectives investigating the disappearance of Kyron have searched DeDe Spicher's condominium in Tualatin and have interviewed people who saw Spicher the day Kyron disappeared. Spicher was doing gardening work for a Northwest Portland homeowner June 4. She abruptly left the house about 11:30 a.m. and didn't return until an hour to 90 minutes later. Another person working at the home called Spicher to come in for lunch, and the homeowner called Spicher on her cell phone, but she wasn't reachable. Detectives have questioned both the homeowner and the other person who was working at the home that day.
