You ever wonder if SG made it to OP through the streets but ran back into the brush from the OP side?
No. But I wonder how much money she had on her (pockets, purse etc.)
You ever wonder if SG made it to OP through the streets but ran back into the brush from the OP side?
What do you think are possible reasons she'd do that? Being chased? Imagined she was being chased? Any other possibilities? You ever wonder if SG made it to OP through the streets but ran back into the brush from the OP side?
(rsbm)(NOT a LI Detective but an NYPD Detective)

"...At least one veteran homicide investigator who studies serial killer cases thinks Gilbert was going to be a target of the elusive, Long Island murderer.
A badly decomposed body of a woman was discovered under the Whitestone Bridge in Queens yesterday

The wording is strange, "...was going to be a target..."? I realize those are not the detective's words, but still. I can't tell from the rest of the article if he believes SG was actually killed by the same person as the others, or not.
Then it's on the reporter. The writing is ambiguous. JMOPOSTED 10:26 PM, AUGUST 5, 2014, BY MARY MURPHY, UPDATED AT 10:10PM, AUGUST 5, 2014
[the wording "was going to be a target" was authored by Mary Murphy, it appears not a quote of the retired investigator]
At least one veteran homicide investigator who studies serial killer cases thinks Gilbert was going to be a target of the elusive, Long Island murderer.
Theres no doubt in my mind that Shannan Gilbert is linked to those other victims in Gilgo Beach, said retired NYPD Lt. Commander, Vernon Geberth. Geberth has written multiple books, including one called Sex Related Homicide and Death Investigations.
Geberth told PIX11 it would be unusual for more than one serial killer to be using the same dumping ground.
If you want my opinion, its the same person, Geberth said. He just got more proficient.
Not only is his quote placed in print but listening to him in the interview, he clearly states "one killer" & includes as his victim SG.
I spoke with him this afternoon & heard first hand the same.
This retired homicide investigator has stood his ground & been stating this from Dec. 2010
What do you think are possible reasons she'd do that? Being chased? Imagined she was being chased? Any other possibilities?
The fact that MP left alone without Shannan is a case of "paradox of knowing the truth".
Well this is super hypothetical but say she made it out of Oak Beach through the road. I proved very early in my posting here that there was a trail going from OP to the general vicinity of where she was found. Say she made it out if there then was followed by a car from op and ran into from op. It's way more easier to get to the spot she was found in from the highway than from running through all of that crap so long. Fits a timeline better too. Police responded within what 45 minutes? Plenty of time to run out of oak beach via street and back into bramble with MP killing her and leaving the scene.
The money was not amongst all of the other belongings found per msm
"the money" you mean Brewer gave her some money, or you mean "no money was amongst..." ? I never saw anywhere a clarification as to whether she was paid or not.
Something I have been wondering since the beginning, "did John Brewer make any payment to Shannan?" If he did, where's the money?
Sarah Beth Moore of Clarksville was last seen at a 7/11 store in Manhattan, New York City, where she borrowed a phone to call her mother, according to a statement from the family
I've always wondered if Shannan freaking out was due to Brewer refusing to pay or holding out on pay, so she freaked out that "they" (Pak? Imagined people during a bipolar/drug-induced mania? Someone she owed money to? Etc?) were going to kill her if she didn't get the payment from Brewer.
I don't really understand how payment in the sex industry works- do johns usually pay before or after services?
