Casey gets a 1 million dollar offer for first story

Is this sacrifice to much to ask?

Apparently MacGyver since someone paid $1 million for the mask (supposedly) and since TMZ is reporting there is a bidding war for a video of KC and since TMZ is reporting that a deal most likely has been signed for the interview.

If a mask is selling for this much; I can just imagine how much people would pay KC for some of the items she wore during the trial and some other personal items she has. Yoko Ono sold Lennon's stuff on e-bay, KC can do the same and make a lottttttt of money.

People are interested. Look at this Board for example and that gives you an ideal. Everyone is interested in KC.

Whether or not the mask really sold for the much is doubtful to me, but you are right, anything that actually belonged to her would bring high bids...soon we will be seeing all of those prim little blouses on Ebay.

I don't think so; I think she will hold off until she needs the money. There is no need to sell them now. She has this video coming out shortly and then an interview. E-Bay can wait - no rush.

And who better to put KC with than Mancuso(sp) - the disbarred lawyer who is presently barred again - but he is perfect as a baby sitter; she probably is having a ball with him; he is somewhat underhanded - so she likes his company and they were seen laughing on the video when they got off the plane. KC apparently is doing just fine right now.

I went to Amazon to look at this, the "book" was uploaded July 27 2011, yesterday, does anyone think this is real? or a hoax? Every single "review" is negative that I browsed through. This is quite astonishing that Amazon would have this....is this really real??? Bizarre, IMO.

Well, it's a real e-book but the author is not FCA. Apparently there's a disclaimer in the back of the book that states it is not her who wrote it.

A lot of people have written comments (me included!) under the Amazon review section and I haven't seen one that was positive.

I think Casey will be very upset:maddening: by the books that will be coming out that she will probably feel are cutting into her profits.
An example is the one coming out by authors Kathleen McKenna and Marti Rulli who are working on a fictional book, and they are also seeking to complete a screenplay about the story after the novel is completed. True it is fiction, but it is apparently based alot on interviews with relatives from Ohio!!
Then again - Casey's work is fiction too!!:fence:

That would leave NBC, which now has a huge advantage in booking guests.



Without ABC to serve as a competitive bidder, NBC now has the leverage to secure interviews without having to pay license fees… if it so chooses. NBC’s “Today” and “Nightly News” are the most-watched programs in their time periods. NBC can — and does — argue that guests should choose them for the broadest coverage. That is the argument ABC made to Jaycee Dugard to secure her first interview. ABC featured Dugard on all of its programs, and its primetime special was a huge ratings hit, helping Dugard’s book debut at #1 on the New York Times Bestseller list.

For its part, NBC told Guthrie:

“We’ve talked with Baez about getting an interview with Casey Anthony, but only under NBC News standards and conditions: no payment, and absolutely no job offers for members of her defense team.”

NBC News standards and conditions have not stopped the network from licensing materials from interview subjects up to this point, but if there are no other bidders, NBC doesn’t really need to bid itself. It just needs to convince the Anthony team that they will get the most exposure. They also need to prepare for the backlash from viewers who’ve had enough of Casey Anthony.

Really what sponsors would be good for this interview. Target, nope. Frebreeze, nope. Auto commercials that show their large trunk capacity, nope. Pizza, nope. Mfg'rs that make trash bags, definite no. Diapers, no. Bank of America and other credit card companies, nope. Pools, pool supplies, nope and nope. The list goes on and on.

Funny how the highlighted picture of the trunk liner never made it to the national news. And it wouldn't cost them a penny. Would love to see what KC's fans would think of her then. jmo

I bought Jaycee's book. It was hard to read just because of the hell she went through.. but also very inspirational. I can't imagine her coping through all that and raising her 2 daughters. She really did the best she possibly could. Now that is some major abuse she lived through...

Oh yea... this is the Casey Anthony forum...bleh . You couldn't pay me to buy anything about her or that travesty of a trial. I just wish everyone else felt this way too..

One of the reasons that KC is so "hot" right now is exactly the uproar on this site over her getting paid - makes her much more interesting to viewers. So ironically those who are against this interview, imo, are really keeping it alive by saying that. If no one made a big deal about it, she would not be able to ask for the amount she is asking, no one would care.

Apparently this site and just about every tv station does find her story interesting; otherwise no one would be talking about it. She is in the news on HLN every single day. She is talked about here every single day; she is on e-bay now and a mask of her has sold for close to $1 million.

If that is not interest, then I have a different definition. If someone will pay $1 million for a mask; then a tv station would surely pay a lot more to get an interview with her.

Little snips of KC will be coming out here and there, just to keep the interest befoe the BIG interview. And no matter what anyone says, no matter what, one of the stations is going to show that interview - and I would be that the deal is practically done.

That is interest. And, imo, most of America will watch it. WFTV had one million bloggers at the time of trial and the site is still up and running - that is interest.

KC is newsworthy; her trial was considered the biggest in Florida's history, so it is newsworthy and why should she not be interviewed because she was found innocent. Hitler was hardly innocent and yet I think I can find a documentary on him at the very least once a week - and I think he killed a lot more than KC Anthony. Why should we not have her on record speaking if there are some who are interested in it. I think she should be interviewed; it is certainly historical and history is valuable.

I will definitely watch it and I have no doubt many from this site and others will also join in. Will you be watching Lamb?
