Actually to me she reminded me of a larger version of Sherry Lewis who was a puppeteer back in the 50's-60's who had a puppet named Lamb Chops. It was a hand puppet, the kind where it appears that you have your hand up the puppets a.. oh never mind. Off to look back over notes of who I thought was a puppet here in this trial. Flipping through pages...licking fingers, licking pages, wipes off screen...oh there it is.

This reminded me of an early jail phone call between her and Lee (I will see if I can find it). Once their time is up and they are cut off, she remains on the line for several seconds. Then just before she hangs up, she sighs under her breath, "okaaay".
To me it sounds like she is a little relieved to be done performing and is reassuring herself.
It's also entirely possible that I read way too much into all of this.

I agree. I think Casey turns it on when she is on stage and center of attention. I think she love the attention. Attention is what she has always craved.

Maybe it is just me, but no way could I sit there all calm like ICA is doing. I would keep my eyes closed or better yet fake a sick so I did not have to be there. I would be so mortified at hearing my lies come right back to haunt me. This chick has some nerve. She actually looks as if she is bored silly.

FYI, there in recess and KC started talking to Baez and was going on and on - I thought I saw her mention "trunk" and Baez is not interested and trying to placate and picks up a yellow pad for no reason and puts it back down and then walks away after KC appears finished - but slightly nods his head. Cheney is watching and says something to KC and she adjusted her shirt and stopped talking. They are obviously not interested in what she has to say.

She looks exhausted and dis-shevled (sp?).

What is she looking at on the computer monitor or whatever that is on the table in front of Baez? I see her look from that to I assume whoever is talking and just back and forth. Does she have any idea there is a camera on her at all times? I'm sorry but IMO this girl has no clue what she is facing. It is almost like it is just a minor blip in her life and she just has to sit thru it.

When KC was indicted and held with white shirt and black pants and was talking to agents before she went out and met press with Baez, she had no eyeglasses on and then when she comes out in front of everyone and cries, she had glasses on.

I know this is off topic but anyone notice that? Or have any info.

She does indeed love to look at herself perform. She could not take her eyes off of herself today, and as my wife noted, her emotions mirrored those she was witnessing herself perform on the screen. She cried only when she saw herself doing it in the tape, not in response to dialog cues. That's been her pattern throughout the trial as well. When "normal" people might be expected to react to the mention of the possibility of their young (now deceased) child drowning, for example, she shows no interest beyond a perpetually annoyed pout; yet, given the opportunity to see or hear others speaking about her and her reactions,she tends to respond appropriately.

All too familiar, unfortunately, to those of us unfortunate enough to have endured narcissists in our lives. Thank goodness I cannot claim that any of them are sociopathic to the degree this young woman clearly is.

But I just had to respond and agree with you, Sleuth5 -- CA is in the high order of narcissists as well as, IMO, sociopaths. Her lack of empathy makes it nearly impossible for her to know how to react to something as others do. And she does crave attention and the spotlight, as you say. An exemplary model of an extreme narcissist -- but instead of relying on just her self-imagined superior intellect, she relies more heavily on lies, which roll out of her as easily as song lyrics. I would also have to say, as respectfully as I can muster, I feel that she would be a project for a psychiatrist or a psychologist. I'll stop now...

As court is wrapping up for the day ICA sits in her little girl chair waiting for attention. Finally CM comes over and pats her shoulder a couple of times, ICA pulls cords from some of the electronics waiting for attention and she doesn't get any. Finally a deputy comes over and takes ICA back to her cell. Why oh why doesn't she get escorted out immediately?

I think somewhere in the jailhouse letters to "Cookie" ?? she mentioned Cindy had given her some glasses. I think she was saying she wasn't feeling the "sexy librarian look" that day, or some similar reference to the glasses.

My opinion is the will keep her in solitary for some time...at least until the story has been erased from people's minds. They will do this to protect her from women who would want to hurt her.

Darn shame too. Having a single cell is a commodity in prison..except when you are in adseg housing (SHU) which is for commiting a crime while incaarcerated...then it's not so nice. She has a special cell where she is now..which is close to staff. She feels important and had adapted to her "Dorm". She doens''t have to share her commisary either. She would in general pop. I have seen inmates squashed and pounded by tens of inmates walking back from getting their goodies...Everything but feathers flying all over the place.

Yes, indeedy, Whisp - The Gen Pop won't think she's quite as cute as she thinks she is -- they won't like what she did to get there, not one dayam bit. She could move up to No. 1 on their list of Cot Mascots.... euuuwwww..... They'll probably do their best to mash the "me" right out of her. It truly will be tuff for her -- but not quite as tuff as she was to her sweet baby girl...

I HAVE to ask...how is this woman supposed to look???? smirked at the jury. if anything, her personality traits would call for some sort of sucking up "look". some kind of win you over with my smile sort of thing. heck, maybe she smiles cause she has gas! new born babies do it right?
