Lucan is a puzzler although there's not much mystery about who committed the murder.

Just what the killer did after.

Oh, not the murder itself - just what happened to him after he disappeared.

I chose the Babysitter because it happend in my hometown. However Cleveland has always been an interest of mine.

Yes, remember it in the news - Babysitter that is.

1. Sam Sheppard
2. Boston Strangler
3. Zodiac

Although I don't think it is old enough to classify as "classic" Jon Benet Ramsey's murder still fasciinates.

My mother was causal friends with Elizabeth Short (The Black Dahlia) in Long
Beach in the 40's before I was born, so that was probably the earliest case that interested me, but not so much anymore. Maybe because I don't think it will ever be solved, everyone is too long dead at this point, IMO.

I do have Sheppard on my unsolved single murder poll where it presently has 5 votes.

I voted Taman Shud, because something about this case sends a shiver down my spine. I have no idea.

That is an extremely interesting case but I'm a little surprised that it's in the top 5.

Valerie Percy, 1966.

If I could think of another case that had 22 full time investigators on it, perhaps that one, too.

I'm not familiar with The Babysitter. Anyone have a link? Sounds interesting.

A Google of Oakland County Michigan Child Murders will gain you dozens of sites to check regarding the case.
