Lake Tapawingo had a population of 730 in 2010, if I can trust Wikipedia. Tiny place. And his contemporaries are not all that old...someone must know something. Someone cared enough to declare him missing...

^ ^ ^ I always wondered about his case. How unfortunate that such few details were provided. Although Lake Tapawingo is a small community, it is in the midst of larger suburbs of Kansas City like Blue Springs, Lee's Summit, and Independence. Lots of remote areas, woods, and lakes in the area as well. Especially back then before it became really developed.

It says he was last seen in Lake Tapawingo. Did he live there? Was he visiting someone? I'm wondering if he is from Lake Tapawingo but beings how it's so small, he could have gone missing elsewhere. He could have even hitchhiked out of the state for all we know since that was a "thing" back then. Was he the type to even hitchhike? Did he have a vehicle? It looks as if those two photos are mugshots. Was he in trouble often? Did he have enemies?

He was 17 years old and probably still in school or perhaps just graduated. Surely he had family and a lot of friends that could have provided more information to his character. And yes, who reported him missing? Who saw him last in Lake Tapawingo? So many questions...

I found these articles and wonder if it could be him.
Hmm ... interesting. Golly, reading those articles I'd say local LE was likely somewhat embarrassed by the escape through the "unbreakable window" and all; they also said they were non-violent offenders, but in the person referred to as Clay A. Foreman, he was serving 26 mos for illegal possession of weapons. Don't know what that means exactly. I do wonder about the photos of Clay and what appears to perhaps be mugshot photos, when and where those were taken.

I’ve been trying to figure out that exact thing; when and where those mugshots were taken. Maybe if we could find others like it, that would lend a clue. Maybe the background is unique to a certain state or jail/prison?

To me,

The two photos below look nothing like Clay in the one above.

Satch

I thought so too at first. It’s all in his eyebrows. They’re pretty unique IMO. And very little forehead space (from brow to hairline). I think the angle they are taken makes them appear different.
