Its a shame that they didn’t bring in the Daily mail interview and his best friend quote as supposedly told each other everything and yet wasn’t the first one knocking down the cops door. That’s highly suspicious considering how much time Chase spent on the phone to Joey. After that weekend on the Monday I would of gone to the cops if it was my best friend as Chase said everything was “normal” at lunch so why would his mate just vanish with his family. It didn’t add up.

I live in Ohio now but lived in SD County when the McStays "disappeared." With the terrible border photo I questioned the Mexico idea. Then when the bodies were found I had no clue who would be arrested! SLOW forward to today...I am back for a funeral (my ex), which was yesterday in Murrieta. On the I-15 we passed Joey's exit, Susan's exit, etc. Yep, I'm ready for justice for the McStays. I've learned so much about the long long road to a verdict. I will be back in Ohio Sunday p.m.

That's not necessarily true. Killers often fool their families. The BTK killer's daughter loved him and didn't believe he was guilty for quite awhile. The same with John Wayne Gacey's family. They were shocked.

I remember T testifying that her father went to play poker to make the car payment. That is a very naive way of looking at a gambling addict. The only reason this family was always on the verge of eviction was because of his gambling issues. He didn't go to the casinos to 'help' his family. Poor T is in denial, imo.

Katy, you're responding to ridiculousness. Taylor's love or affection for her father has nothing to do with his guilt, as everyone knows. Were it the opposite, and it was obvious that she hated her father, the same people would be crying that "you can't judge the defendant based on his daughter's emotions".

I do think the comment about "strangers shouldn't speak for the family" is interesting, and confirmational.

They could all vote guilty today but unlikely we'd get a verdict. In the OJ trial, defense knew they had voted NG. Cochran stated that if it was a guilty verdict they would have been in deliberations much longer just because of the paperwork to file.

To be honest, even if they all vote guilty right away they owe it to the accused to review the evidence presented. In the last case I was on we all knew the defendant's guilt, yet still discussed the crucial parts of the evidence for the majority of the day before returning with the guilty verdict.

I kinda don’t think she’s going to go that long. I am thinking an hour this AM to wrap it up and the judge’s final instructions and they should have the case.

I agree, and I think it's best if she just makes her points and lets them have the case... I've watched the last 2 days, these 2 full court days was exhausting

Did some more watching of closing arguments by both DT and PT today. I know there are posters here who think the state hasn't laid out a convincing case, but how to get past all the lies and bizarre assumptions on the part of the DT? There are so many. And: Chase's story has changed so many, many times, and it all fits with where the case was going at the time. At first he claimed that the custom account was created to hide money from Summer, then later when it becomes necessary to blame DK, the account is created to hide it from him.

Then, there's the ever changing story and timing of his first visit to the McStay home after the 4th. Then, the changing of the dog-feeding story. It goes on and on and on. You can move through his story changes and track the case perfectly.

I find it very difficult to believe that anyone believes Chase isn't guilty, whether or not the state has laid out a case BARD. Just hope he has a date, earlier rather than later, with Old Sparky.

And, am so very inclined to believe that this isn't his first venture into murder.

So, I'm kinda done with arguing the testimony during the trial... I think everyone has their opinion at this point and no one is going to change anyone's mind IMO

CM at one time said the window was left open due to allergies that Joey had. Anyone who know anything about allergies - knows the last thing you do is leave a window open. So there’s another big LIE.

Thanks to you and others who have given their opinion on where we think the jury will go with this case. It helps me and others who have not had a chance to follow the trial as closely as others.

From what I have gathered from the little I have managed to watch and read about I tend to agree that he most likely is guilty.

I mainly think this because when I try to ask myself who could have done such a horrendous thing to the wife and kids too then it limits the type of people who would have done such a thing.

A random burglar/murderer would have left everyone dead at the house if it was a random person. The way the wife and kids were taken out to the desert along with the father indicates this was some inside job from the fountain business by someone that had an interest in taking out the father and then took out all the witnesses related to the father.

Throw in a gambling problem and the motive rises to the top for me. A jealous business partner that had gambling issues and wanted money to come easy rather than working for it like everyone else.

Yeah IMO I think they have the right guy in their sights. Hope the jury gets it right.

MR excellent going over Cathy Jarvis' testimony and her jail house visit to CM to get promoted on how to testify. MR also stressing that CJ then spent 8 hours with Maline rehearsing her lies. Lots of objections from McGee getting shot down.
