Officials are looking for a 70-year-old Sterling woman after the body of her husband was found inside their home Thursday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Sterling Police Department, officers responding to a medical call at 409 S. Third Ave. at about 1 p.m. Thursday found 70-year-old Charles Roger Severance dead. While investigating the man's death, they were unable to locate his wife, Shirley Anne Severance, who lived in the home with him.

"He noted that there has not been much history of calls to the home. He said the couple has other family in the area, and all relatives have been notified."

Also the department is "actively following up on some information" concerning Shirley.
 
Wow no cause of death or MOD being releasd yet, I wonder if she was a caretaker and snapped?

Law enforcement officials are still trying to locate the missing wife of a 70-year-old Sterling man found dead in his home Thursday afternoon.
The body of Charles Severance was located when police responded to a medical call at 409 S. Third Ave. at around 1 p.m. Thursday.

According to a Sterling Police Department press release, the call was made by a family member who also lives in the home.

Preliminary results from the autopsy on Charles Severance's body, performed Friday, show no evidence of injury or trauma, the release states. The toxicology report is pending; results can take three to four weeks.

According to court records, Brendan Johnson told investigators he and his 18-year-old girlfriend Cassandra Rieb "had been planning to kill his 70-year-old grandparents Charles and Shirley Severance since the first part of May." Rieb also admitted to her role in the murder to police, according to court records."

I'm stunned and numb. Nothing makes sense. How could those two do that to his grandparents? Not good. It's Colorado. No death penalty? :notgood: :sick:
