The recent energy in this thread has more than doubled. Are we approaching a court appearance? I’ve been outta the loop and will need to revisit at least two threads.
I doubt we are close to a court. I've been absent too, stuck in a covid mask crisis
I have not had time to go through all.
I imagine they will defer and defer and defer again.
I really do not see it happening in June, not this June at any rate.

Could someone help me out? I often see references to a "post number." Do some phones/operating systems not show those numbers? Or is it a W/S setting I haven't seen? I've included a screenshot of a sample.

Post numbers show up on phones when you turn your phone sideways /landscape view. It will be there by the “like” button

Forgive me if this seems like a silly question (I'm a little off my game tonight)-

Do the documents posted by our lovely @imstilla.grandma pertain to LS's claim she was being harassed at work by LH's family and had to leave her job? I seem to remember LS claims she reported the harassment, and was terminated as a result?

My brain is having a difficult time determining if these are two separate events, or if this is "the" event LS was referring to in one of her many interviews/public postings to social media?

Clearly this woman has absolutely no problem destroying the lives of others. She's done it time and time again.

What if TS attempts a similar defense saying she was left to care for these kids for long periods of time with no help from anyone. When she married him she “certainly didn’t sign up for that,” nor did she sign up for “giving up her career to raise his kids.” Etc. Of course this defense would only work in divorce court where she was trying to get more money in a settlement. However... she could pull a snapped defense and wind up in a psych ward for a few years and serve way less time. Remember, we still don’t know the full scope of the care that was required for each kid. Any legal thoughts?

Had the weirdest experience today...
I work in a store with a LOT of regular customers who often come in several times a day. One guy has a son, maybe 8/9 yo, who is possibly autistic/Asperger's/similar. The whole crew calls him "my buddy" when he comes in, or says "hey buddy"
Sometimes he chases us with his stuffed dinosaur, he always takes our "next register" signs and puts them all on one side of the counter. He usually likes to go barefoot. He's a sweet little kid. Ever so often he'll be having an obviously hard day, but usually so happy.
But today, I was just about to say "hey buddy" when I choked on my words. I suddenly thought of the last text AS sent to GS... "Hey Buddy"

Did you see in the news today about the Florida mother who tried to kill her own 9 yr old autistic son at least twice that witnesses saw and was finally successful when she drown him in a canal. She was sick of changing his diapers. What if TS attempts a similar defense saying she was left to care for these kids for long periods of time with no help from anyone. IMO and IANAL It won’t happen. The problem with an insanity defense is that she would have to be unable to distinguish right from wrong. Her lies and actions to hide evidence show that she knew she did something very wrong. They can introduce evidence to show she had a psych diagnosis of x or y and it there’s a chance it might induce some sympathy in the jury but an insanity defense will never fly.

The little sister must not have witnessed much on Sunday night or Monday because she’s quoted here, complete with very optimistic intonation, that she believes “he’s still alive!” as of this interview with LH.

Possibly, but she's also so young that she may not have fully comprehended death or the severity of what happened to him at that point. I sure hope she didn't witness much, for her own sake.

I am not a lawyer either. But I look to the Julie Schenecker case, murdered her two teens in a psychotic fit. She described being left for long periods caring for her children alone, said her kids were troubled, she was mentally ill, etc. By all accounts, JS had serious psychiatric issues.

At trial, she was found legally sane, and sentenced to life without parole. And she was lucky to escape the death penalty.

Oh I remember that one. The kids weren’t troubled though, they were well liked honor students. She was a gambler who went to The Hard Rock Casino the day she killed them. I don’t buy her “I was always mentally ill line.” I think she’s full of s.

YES. In my opinion, as one who worked for a large school district for years, IF TS really did have text messages from her boss, saying the things she said the texts said, he would have been out of there on his arse immediately.

There3 would not have been any mediation or cheap settlements, if there were actual, verified texts, of him asking for her to perform sexual acts in return for better work conditions. NO WAY

He would have been terminated and she would have been Awarded big bucks. JMO

I used to work in the principals office. I saw how these things worked. It would take much much less than that to get an administrator fired. So I think her claims were unfounded and false. IMO MOO

Gannon... I have known some “ mentally ill” people, most would not hurt a fly...agree w/ the full of it, but I add a dash of pure evil.

Actually I just read JS was bi-polar and had taken meds her whole life. Husband said he never looked at her meds to see if she was compliant. And she still was found guilty. I wonder if she’s in the psych unit at the prison. They say she’s on psych meds there. He said she’d go on gambling binges and piss away thousands then sleep for weeks. Sounds selfish to me. Like she knew what she was doing.
