Tysm. I’m not sure we know if KB actively used her phone.
If she did, no one thought it odd she didn’t respond by answering, returning a call or texting back. It’s possible more texts were sent, that we don’t know of. If I had her phone, I think I’d be texting back, to buy time before alerting anyone that something was amiss.

My guess is hindsight is 20-20 on her lack of responses to family and them not sounding the alarm sooner. Since having my kids, I have become horrible about timely responding to people at times. Most in my life give me the benefit of the doubt that I am just busy. I would guess the same could be said for KB and her family. Though after about a week, I am sure they started becoming more and more concerned. Once they realized she was in fact missing, I am sure they looked to see when the last of her regular cell activity ended and realized it was on Thanksgiving. They may also be basing death date on when PF started having baby K full time. MOO

Sorry not the state Idaho the nurse . I'm wondering if/ when / possibly kb family will start a wrongful death against her. Surely any deal the nurse made with le wouldn't effect kbs family bringing suit against her just moo

Yes, there already is a wrongful death suit that includes her if she is the one who was solicited, but if there are further charges and she is found to have played a larger role I don't see why they could not file an additional one against her. I'm not sure how that would work, but it's a good question. Imo

They’ve got to know. Perhaps zero activity on her phone after 1 pm that day, for example. Or KB told CB that morning that she was baking cinnamon rolls. So they would know for a fact the rolls were made that morning, and then not put away. Maybe she took medication and none was used after that day. I’m only 31 and I have a cranial nerve disorder that requires a lot of medication, so I use a weekly pill box. If someone came in my house and the last empty day was Thursday morning, they would know.

Anything, or any combination of these things, likely led them to this conclusion.

I am leaning toward the theory PF wanted both child and KB dead to be "free," but could only pull off one murder- for whatever reason- either by himself or with one he solicited.

The day PF was arrested, his mother was brought in and questioned. SF may have discussed her son's friendship with the nurse

She likely knew KK was in town Thanksgiving weekend and may have babysat Baby K while PF & KK were up to stuff

Pretty sure KB never used her phone after 11/22...so that was likely to be the day she was killed. And LE would be able to tell from phone records if she had ever gone without using it before for nearly three days. Most people do not jmo.

TBH, I am believing more and more that there will be no body found, because it is gone- in some way. The police never seemed to focus on that. Even after PF's arrest, they alluded to having more info and making us think they knew where the body was but never have we heard about search parties etc. I think they knew early on that she was gone and her body was disposed of in such a way that there were only going to be the occasional remnant here or there. Maybe from IN, not saying she was specifically involved or not but my guess is that if he was allegedly willing to talk to solicit her, ask her to dispose of the phone then afterwards he probably talked to her. ie take the phone, do this, this and this. Don't worry there is no body, it will never be found. In - how can you say that for sure, this is too risky. He then tells her it is destroyed. Hoping my thoughts are wrong.

Unless, as Rio explained, she told her mom she baked rolls.
I don’t know if KB had meds. Certain meds would disqualify her from flying, imo.

I always thought you worked out a deal before you talked- but you (or another lawyer) mentioned a few days ago that isn't the case because the DA makes the deal not LE. So you choose to talk, knowing that they will recommend a good deal and you trust. Which now that they are saying she is suspected of being the one he solicited- aren't the charges for that pretty steep. If you are being solicited and let the conversation take shape- to the point of the solicitor getting charged, can't you get 10 yrs- particularly since it would be federal charges? Or am I wrong and that is only the person who did the solicitation?

Not if she didn’t accept and agree (which would then lead into the world of conspiracy). If she did, we may see conspiracy charges. As they stand now, they’re just solicitation charges for him. The solicitee, even if they don’t tell LE, is not criminally culpable if they turn the solicitor down.

I’ve thought about this, too.

Perhaps KK objected to killing Baby K.

But at that point - WHY DIDNT SHE CONTACT KB AND LAW ENFORCEMENT?

Even if she rec’d 15 calls/texts after speaking with her mom, IMO, it does not mean a thing. Only that she didn’t answer/respond. Maybe she was napping, cleaning house, showering, etc. Some people (as we know) are attached to their devices. Some, not so much.

If Kelsey is never found...it does not mean she was disposed of in some bizarre, unusual manner. Tens of thousands of missing people, long presumed dead, over the decades have never been found. I think it was Marc Klaas I once heard say that the US is huge...lots of places to dispose of bodies where they might never be found.

I too wonder if they have found some stray teeth or small bone fragment of KB in different locations. The search in ID is intriguing to me. If KK disposed of more than the phone (part of her remains, murder weapon, etc.) I hope they are able to fully prosecute her. It is getting a lot harder to think of any situation she is not culpable. MOO

maybe it is just the idea that he solicited people, possibly IN, but from LE perspective there could be others who haven't come forward. So she is in protective custody, just in case he was able to solicit someone from jail to take her out. Slim chance, but it has happened before. They get to keep her close at hand at the same time and put pressure on. It can't feel good being in protective custody. Also because there have been no sightings of her at all, i am leaning towards her being in protective custody, any other type of custody i think we would know about. JMO
