Was looking for this post:

Windshields sometimes get broken on highways when a truck tire tosses a rock. It's rare for side windows or a pickup truck rear window to be broken that way. And we know for a fact that one of these broken windows was caused by a bullet.

The intersection of Harmony and I25 where the young lady was hit (Google street view) isn't the kind of place one would expect a stray bullet. It almost had to come from another vehicle or from the parking area for the Costco on the east side of I25.

ETA: The Costco and Freddy's on the east side of I25 are not yet on Google maps. Both would have been closed at the time of the shooting.

They were able to collect surveillance footage from nearby businesses. Hopefully that leads to something. I also read somewhere something about them looking into a vehicle seen in the area.
A few people seem to have heard the gun go off.

This is all in msm. Sorry, too upset and exhausted to find and link.

People in nearby homes and businesses showed mixed emotions about the shooting Thursday morning.

"It's kind of spooky when it happens in your neighborhood," Debbie Atkin, who lives just a few houses east of the incident, said. "You have to wonder if there is a serial shooter."

Two houses down from Atkin lives longtime Loveland resident Jacob Moya, who reported he heard a shot in this usually quiet neighborhood.

A nearby business employee said police contacted him late Wednesday night for surveillance footage. The angle of the camera did not reach where the shooting took place, he said, but police took about 24 hours' worth of footage as evidence. A vehicle seen around the time of the shooting at the intersection is being looked at, the employee was told.

Thank you.

Bringing this forward to stare at.

Didn't Cory Romero say she was merging into traffic when another car pulled up beside her?...and then the spreadsheet (which BTW is awesome along with the maps) says her passenger window was shot out...this makes me think the shooter was also on the ramp?...perhaps having followed her from the west side of Harmony Road?...anyone have thoughts about this?

Qmfr: / old post....looks like Loveland was on my radar...

snip

I think this is some nutjob. I guess he'll strike in a couple months, maybe around FT Collins, Berthoud, Loveland, Longmont, Louisville. Jmo eta: maybe sooner but maybe longer! Jmo

:shakehead:

That's the way I understood it from her words in an interview she gave.

I'm seriously wondering just how long this shooter was active before the dots were collected and then connected by LE due to jurisdictional linkage blindness? It was reported that there were four times the normal number of shattered windows in April 2015. What about January, February, and March? When did the escalation of shattered vehicle windows begin in the geographical area of concern?
Imo, this date would be very important in identifying the motivation or possible trigger that ignited the CO Shooter/Serial Killers' trail of terror..

There was also a man interviewed in one of the videos I saw who said his kids heard the gun.

(Wow, 12 users browsing this thread. The most I've seen so far. Hope more WSers join us. Time is of essence. I'm reaaaaalllly worried about what he's going to do next. I'm not even going to post what I'm afraid he'll do next.)

Eta: Alright we have 14 in the house!
Eta: 16!

Welcome! Help!

This article looks at the question of what kind of bullets / BBs might have been used.

http://www.coloradoan.com/story/new...-cause-shattered-windows-interstate/27198323/

"Bill Cates, firearms instructor at Rocky Mountain Shooter Supply in Fort Collins, said... he believes it's "definitely a projectile from a firearm," specifically... a high-powered BB gun, which will shatter windows but not necessarily penetrate them. He said a 22-caliber rifle would also cause similar damage.

Anything else, Cates said, would leave "an exit channel" elsewhere in the vehicles.

Jacob Paulsen, owner and founder of U.S. Firearms Training in Arvada... If someone was hiding along the road and shooting with a BB or pellet gun, which generally shoot their projectile at 900 to 1,200 feet per second, at a car moving 75 mph, it would require a remarkable shot... . "But even if you had bad accuracy you might hit that shot 1 out of 50 times.''

So the shooter probably had to take a lot of shots to get one to hit a window. We should expect that more cars would have dings on their bodies from some shots that missed windows. Reports of fresh dings on car doors that drove I25 might give LE a fuller timeline and new physical evidence on the 'projectiles'. I'm not sure how you could drum up that kind of information, but it would be nice to have.

This jumps out....22 caliber rifle...especially after talking to the vet yesterday.

Hunting Rifles....
