Is this what we are referring to as the bonus room? Another weird setup just an open room with no doors that they made into a bedroom.

That was staging for Air B and B buyers, OldCop. There are other photos showing it was used as a den like area with TV etc.

And it's the bonus room and it's on the second floor. I have the house figured out with lots of ink drawings. I just need my engineer husband to do it professionally then I can post it.

I love lime and salt with my tequila so will partake gladly once I get this house plan done.

With a couple of full size beds to accommodate houseguests while not letting them get too comfortable. Especially handy in avoiding the in laws with a tendency to wear out their welcome. IMO

I remember from the Preliminary hearing some statements by IE that appeared that she would use the Google searches on BM phone to appear that anyone on his account could have been responsible for them. “ find cute girls in Salida “, etc.
I figured then that she would try to say the girls or their boyfriend could be responsible.
Disgusting.
But I saw how ruthless she and DN were in the Fallis case.

I don't understand why the girls weren't back a lot earlier? Wasn't Suzanne expecting/hoping they would be back for lunch? Or at the very least, for dinner? Unless it was going to be a late dinner, eg at 8pm?

Sadly, we’ll probably never know when Suzanne had expected her girls to show up on Mother’s Day.
We only have BM’s explanation of why he didn’t feel bad about leaving her alone., he said that it wasn’t Husband’s Day and besides that the girls were expected back by lunchtime.
Although the names are redacted, I think we can all surmise that this is MM2 sending the text to [ maybe her boyfriend] saying she is dreading coming home because they probably had a big fight. She thinks that’s why they haven’t been able to reach their Mom. She says if _____ is working this Summer. Remember MM1 texted her parents “ Got the job!” a few days prior ?
So freaking sad to read this.
But so telling, too.

Master bedroom door. Guest bathroom on the 1st floor right outside the door. The door you can see down the hall before you reach the Master suite.

I needed to see this angle -- big thanks @sassyblue! Would that be the media room across from the guest bath and the bonus room up in the loft area?

Also, if the door adjacent to the stairs (1st floor) is not a toilet/sink, how insane would it be for users of the hot tub (outside mudroom/breezeway) to have to go dripping clear across to the opposite end of the house to reach the guest bath?

This from a $1.7M home?

IMO, the traveling trio was nowhere close to arriving in Salida anytime close to dinner time -- let alone lunch!

We know that CCSO did not meet Ritters in Maysville to take the missing person report until sometime after 6 pm. It was much later (after the bike recovered) when LE arrived at PP and first spoke to MH before his dad and sister arrived. At this time, dad and son were very clear to say the daughters were on the road but made no indication or assurances that they were near and/or approaching Salida.

I think it was around 9 pm when BM arrived at the bike scene where we also saw Mrs. H who I doubt would have been at the scene looking for her husband and son if the daughters were already in town. It seemed to me from the deputy's response that father and son were waiting somewhere nearby -- perhaps the Ritters because we know that the house was on lockdown. I really would not be surprised if traveling daughters did not arrive until after midnight or early AM.

From the CCSO press release, we know that dogs began searching after BM provided them with SM's clothing (as seen in the recently released video), and searched well into the early morning for SM.

Sheriff personnel called members of Chaffee County Search and Rescue South and North and a search began immediately. The Department of Corrections was contacted and a request was made for tracking dogs to assist. They responded and joined the search. The search continued into the early morning hours with no results.

The search resumed in the early morning hours of May 11 with Search and Rescue. They once again scoured the area. Members were then called from the Chaffee County Tac Team along with search parties from the Department of Corrections and the area was once again scoured.

I thought the bonus room was upstairs between the girl's rooms. The one that was the weight room in the listing I posted last night and the one with two double beds in the listing Barry did when he sold Puma Path. And before the double full bed listing he had pictures of a TV room if I am remembering correctly.

Note to self...always save pics of every listing as you see them because they change really quickly.

Turn left after entering front door, proceed straight down the hallway to Suzanne's bedroom. You'll pass a few doors; as well as the master closet door where Barry led the police to her clothes for the K9 dogs, possible coat closet, separate guest bath; well, anyway, all of that is across the hall from the downstairs bonus area that is outside of Suzanne's bedroom door. Once inside the bedroom, we know there is a master bath and shower. Barry said he gets dressed while inside the closet in the mornings.

Everything behind the kitchen, is considered the master wing of this mansion. The area with the Stay Cozy double beds is what my grandmother called a keeping room. Maybe back then people kept certain stuff in their keeping rooms off the kitchen. This Mountain Lodge is idyllic for xtra cozy beds.

MM2 boyfriend , Father and sister are at Puma Path around 6:00 pm because girls communicated to them that texts to Mom never went through.
Deputy Brown spoke to BM at 7:10 on phone
Bike was found around 7:31 pm.
BM arrived at bike scene at 8:42 pm
BM was led into the home at 9:37 to fetch clothing
The AA has a report from Sgt Hysjulien where she interviewed MM2’s boyfriend that night and it says she contacted him on scene. So Puma Path home ?

Then her report says she contacted MM1 and then she spoke with MM2.

It’s hard to tell .
Just my opinion— I think the girls never went to the bike scene and maybe they went to the house. But we don’t know how late they got back.

IMO, the deputy didn't arrive PP until after 7:30 pm when the bike was recovered. Deputy arrived to find MM2's bf there who had already been inside looking for SM because the girls were nowhere close.

Deputy did not tell bf the bike recovered until the boyfriend's dad and sister arrived PP where dad told the deputy he'd just seen the bike brought to the LE vehicle. We know that nobody was allowed inside PP to wait around because BM himself was basically escorted in and out of PP to collect SM's clothes for the search dogs and the house was essentially locked down by LE.

If family and friends gathered anywhere, it was most likely at the Ritters who placed the call to CCSO to request a welfare check for SM at 17:46 (5:46 pm).

CCSO worked all night on this case and the interviews could have easily taken place well after midnight.

It seems the consensus is that it does appear the MM’s likely got in past 10pm that day. I have not read anywhere details of their eventual arrival, so was curious if they may have been on scene to possibly look things over themselves and/or help look for SM, or if they were told to arrive at an alternative location and stay away from PP, especially since the house was likely on lockdown by LE by the time they arrived.

It’s unfortunate for MM2 especially that she likely didn’t get a chance to enter the home to retrieve some personal belongings, if that even mattered to her considering the circumstances. I have to believe it would be a shock to the system for any teenager to suddenly return from a trip and not only have your Mother be missing, but also be cut off from entering your home, let alone your bedroom and personal/safe space.

However, it’s likely the girls had their most important personal belongings on them already when they packed for the trip.

These are just thoughts/inquiries I have as I try to visualize the activity surrounding 5/10 from different perspectives of those that were there that day.

And I bet M2 never heard that. It's as if she's not really there. They left all smiles, as usual. I literally felt sick after I heard her accusing his daughter and or Suzanne for the searches. Unreal. What about his jail facetimes? Did they do that too?
It's like we're in the twilight zone with these lame excuses/lies.

eta: It's going to be a dog and pony show. A carnival act. If only the jury were to be privy to what we've heard/read in the hearings and the AA and everything else in between.

Once MH made the honest remarks to LEO on Mother's Day, it was over with him and MM2. Barry wouldn't allow MH to testify against him while he's dating the youngest daughter.

The way I see the situ is that MM2 is supporting her sister who very nearly lost her mind when her father, her hero, was arrested, for murdering Suzanne then stoically stood by while he spent nearly a year in jail. MM2 is supportive of her older sister* but I hope she doesn't feel responsible for her sister's happiness as, according to Suzanne, MM1 feels responsible for her father's happiness. He's got her blindsided, I guess.

It's all so very sad. It didn't have to end this way, Barry.

* LS gave a detailed description of the words spoken from the lectern in court on the day the Judge decided to bend the bond to allow Barry to visit Gunnison by daylight. The oldest spoke, and wept a bit, during her plea. The youngest held a supportive arm around her sister but, checks notes, I don't think MM2 cried while at the lectern.

They took clothes for the scent dogs from BM, now charged with her murder. Hope they went back for a more reliable sample of her clothes.

This room, with the double beds, is behind the living room fireplace, on the opposite wing of the house from the kitchen. In the listing photo, you can see the primary bedroom bed and nightstand, through the open doorway. Additionally the eyebrow windows correspond to the windows above the hot tub which is located outside the sliders of the great room, back of the where the fireplace would intersect.
