Culpably colorized [et al] by this 'opinionator', for laser focus ...
Good evening,
justtrish !
I'm of the somewhat contrary mindset that, from the "I'm done!" declaration, Barry had tunnel vision. That was the starting gun; finally, he was out of the blocks, and the long-anticipated race had begun!
Strategy, and pacing. Now that's how one finishes ahead of everyone.
The myriad strategies of "Vanishing Suzanne" - akin more to chains of daydreams over who knows how many years - now had to be marshaled post haste. Knowing that he'd have a few days - operative word: "few" - certainly he was aware of the "time compression" phenomenon...
PLUS... he'd have to play multiple personalities throughout. And keep these straight. And authentic. And
"disarming" had to be the milieu.
True, there
were lethal consequences around every corner, obtaining to every twist and turn! And Barry knew he would have to be
nonpareil, and to be thus, as well, throughout.
Which was ok, he reasoned, because he had been unsurpassed and/or without equal, well..., since forever

So, IMHO, every single thing we may ever
- if ever - learn about his carryings-on AD
, [after "Done"], were intentional and in furtherance of
- may I call it this? I think I will - Barry's manifest and unproveable pièce de ré·sis·tance.
