AA stands for Associate of Arts. It's really just general classes... nothing specialized.

I can type perfectly without every looking at my keyboard; that's what I do for a living. But turn off the lights, and all of the sudden I'm back to pecking away with 2 fingers.

Right. Credit hours. So how does someone earn 60 or more credits in a single semester?
No Polli---as I've mentioned most colleges and universities no longer use "quarters". They have unified to semesters.
Below is copy & paste from Colorado Mountain College's website. Note the reference of semesters and the two year transferable degrees
CMC offers many different programs, ranging from one-semester certificate programs to two-year transferable degrees. Each campus offers the "core" AA/AS degrees that are designed to transfer on to four-year colleges
Are you sitting in the dark too? :floorlaugh: I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist.
Why has this thread gone way off towards colleges credits? How did it start? Was it because of what MI's mom said? I'm sorry, I just came back from dinner and drinks and don't get it.
