This is possible...I've seen on the internet where you can type the ip address (or whatever its called...im no computer pro) into the web browser bar and you can see what's going on in the whole house and even turn the camera....maybe the Billings didn't have their stuff password protected? Creepy..

Even with it protected a computer pro can get in it.

Taking the safe to the Body Shop was only "stupid" because the surveillance system was not disabled. Without the video, this case would be much more difficult to piece together. That's why I think the video was purposely left enabled. It's the keystone to making the whole plan work.

No, that's a good theory - Of course, the silent partner wasn't the one who was supposed to disable the alarm. There's no evidence at all that would point to the real mastermind. Now who would stand to gain the most?

:blowkiss: You are not over thinking at all, who knows that person could have been thinking the same thing. Except the law is quite different and since they didn't stop the crime from happening they are looking at charges themselves.
