Sturbridge restaurant owner Ken Yukimura is reported missing; family seeking public’s help

He’s the owner of two successful Sturbridge restaurants and he’s missing.

Family of Ken Yukimura, owner of Sturbridge Porterhouse and Sturbridge Seafood, say the 36-year-old did not show up to work after leaving his home in Somers, Connecticut, on Thursday morning. More than 24 hours later he still has not been heard from.

Missing since December 19, 2019.

According to the article:

He is from Somers and presumably works in Sturbridge (around 27 miles away, where his two restaurants are located).
He was seen at a bank in Sturbridge at around 8:30am on Thursday.
He texted a coworker between 9 and 9:30am that he'd be late for work. He didn't show up.
At 10:10am he was on camera at a gas station in Wallingford (67 miles from Sturbridge), where he filled up.
He was scheduled to be in Worchester at 2pm and didn't show up.

Dawn Yukimura said her brother’s phone appears to be off and although he has not responded to any messages on social media, Facebook is reporting he was last active at 4 a.m. Friday morning.

He was heading south, directly away from his restaurants and from Worcester, Mass. where he was to be at 2 pm. He seems to be intentionally misleading the people he was in contact with about his whereabouts. Does he have contacts in NYC?

Vehicle Information - Yukimura was driving a 2015 or 2016 black Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab with chrome trim. The body above the rear driver’s side wheel has a dent in it.

If he was heading south on the Merritt Parkway (rt. 5/15 ) his truck should have been spotted by camera heading further south unless he got off. The cameras at rest stops pick up passing traffic. I don't think 91 south has the same camera coverage.

This is from an hour ago. Nothing new. His brother did drive to the gas station and did identify that the person who bought the gas was his brother.

I wonder if he withdrew the money with the intention of meeting someone to buy something from a Craigs Listing and met with foul play.
