Thanks for the thread, Murkywaters. Reading through I have a lot of questions. I wish there was more information.

As someone who knows a lot of Vietnamese people (really, Vietnamese men. I have no idea why it's Vietnamese men specifically I am forever meeting and running into) I'm wondering if he was an immigrant (and if so, how recently he arrived to the US) and if there is a sizable Vietnamese population in DC? The American military photos make me assume he had been in the US for at least 10 years by the time of his disappearance when taking into account his age in 2000.

I'm also wondering which name he tended to use more, Phuong or Minh or Kevin, and if it depended on who he was with. (i.e. may have used the name Kevin in everyday life, but used legal name Phuong at work, etc. - or vice versa).
