How about doing away with the statute of limitations to begin with?

Sometimes I think it has a place, but for child molestation and murder, there should be no statute of limitations. Doubly so for child molestation where it often takes the victim decades to recover enough to say what happened.

I am pro DP....but if that can't be made a law..how about lwop in GENERAL population... Right now a predator knows if he/she is caught,they become a protected species...segregated because harm might befall them...well excuse me all to hel* and back,but they should be protected against people that might hurt them and yet our children aren't ? As for rights,they should have the same ones they gave our children....NONE,ZIP,NADA..let them loose in gen pop and let them experience the fear etc for once. Of course we have to figure out how to get rid of the ACLU,first...or at least in the name of GOD,get them to want our childrens rights to not be violated.
I totally agree with all in here..we need to say ENOUGH . And then show we mean it.

I've seen too many falsely convicted to like the DP. And worst of all, seems to be often the falsely convicted are racial or religious minorities that the racism of the time is very ready to say is guilty, or a person who is a pretty lousy person (record of drugs and theft) but is not a killer - sentenced because people don't like them. It's really pretty easy to have happen - juries trust the DA and the police, as they should, and sometimes they make some very human errors. Besides, the boredom of being locked in a cage may very well be worse than death for many of these guys. I couldn't put them in GP - those are the ones we will sooner or later release, no reason to give them more bad habits - we need to work harder on rehabilitating them, not giving them prison anarchy.

Everyone in America has rights, You cannot take them away from a specific set of crime. Our legal prosess works for the most part.We allow so many rights to victims to insure a fair trial. Even the wost deserve their time in court.But once found guilty the death of a child which includes a sexaul contact or act should be death sentence worthy.

But as a child, they have no ability to force an investigation of crimes against them, and often do not have the ability to judge what is best for them. So a child who tells, and is told- don't tell anyone, or who is threatened if they tell- by the time they are old enough to know how to handle that, the statue of limitations may have passed.
