Please help promote the Missing in the Carolinas Event being held on 2/18/2012 in Elizabethtown NC. DNA will be collected on missing person cases.

PRESS RELEASE - Missing in the Carolinas. An Event for Family and Friends Affected by the Disappearance of a Loved One


PPP - Recovery www.ppprecovery.org would like to extend an invitation for members of local media to attend an event regarding the importance and usefulness of www.NamUs.gov (National Missing and Unidentified Persons System).


NamUs is a system that is designed to assist the families of missing persons become reunited with their loved ones through searches against the large number of unidentified persons that are discovered across the United States every year.


Families and friends affected by the disappearance of a loved one from anywhere in the United States are encouraged to attend, along with members of the community and organizations that assist in bringing missing persons home. This event is open to the public.


Representatives from the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) will be present to provide information about the NamUs program, assist families in registering for NamUs, and assist families in entering a missing loved one into NamUs.


A representative from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Center for Human Identification, will be present to collect DNA samples from family members of missing persons. http://www.untfsu.com/events.html
