They’re going to throw everything and the kitchen sink at him. I have my doubts they will be able to secure a conviction for this murder unless they found DNA after all these years. In the end it doesn’t really matter as DeAngelo is going to die in prison. He’s never getting out.

Alleged Golden State Killer charged with another murder, district attorney says

"(CNN)The man authorities believe is the Golden State Killer faces yet another murder charge, authorities said Monday.

Joseph DeAngelo, 72, was charged with the September 1975 murder of college professor Claude Snelling, with a special allegation of the use of a firearm, according to the Tulare County, California, District Attorney's Office....

DeAngelo has already been charged in 12 killings, including the 1978 deaths of Katie and Brian Maggiore. Police say he committed a series of killings, rapes and other crimes attributed to the so-called Golden State Killer, also known as the East Area Rapist and the Original Night Stalker.

Snelling was shot and killed as he charged at a masked man who was trying to abduct his daughter from his home, according to the Visalia Times Delta...."

It shows the first crime of the Visalia Ransacker as Sept 1973. These peeping/prowling incidents have not been confirmed as the VR. The actual 'ransacking' attributed to the VR are documented to have begun in 1974. Visalia Ransacker suspect was a 'black sheep,' described as a loner in Exeter.

East Area Rapist arrest has police scouring old files. Is a 13th murder charge to come?

If the timeline were modified to include the date when ransacking began, IMO it would even more clearly demonstrate the very striking correlation between the crime incidents, and JJD's personal circumstances.
