I have had my eyes open for it although I am out of state. The story seems to have just faded away and I'm afraid it's because there are no sexy pictures, no juicy gossip, no scandals, but most of all because he is not a cute little white girl.

The media decides what story we should care about, and I don't think they care as much for this little fellow.

Just my opinion and not meaning to be so negative. I am just so tired of missing and dead children. What is wrong with this world?

I am also heartbroken that his story has just faded away. I hate to think that the reasons you stated are correct, but unfortunately think you may be right.

I have just emailed Oprah in the hope that she will get Adjis gorgeous face out to the public.
The more emails they recieve the more notice they will take. If you would like to contact the show you can do so here....

ETA: Here are some additional media contacts. If you have the time, please send them an email so they see that there is public interest and that every child deserves a chance to be found.

That's a great idea butwhatif? If nothing else if they could just show these two little boys' pictures at the end of the show with a phone number.

You know we all complain (and even the media does) about why some missing children get all this exposure and others don't. But it doesn't seem like the media does anything to change that.

I couln't agree more. Every child is important, and every child need to have massive attention.

Part of what's wrong with this world is the fact that we let pedophiles live, give them "rights" and let them out of jail.

I'm not saying this child was abducted by a pedo, I don't know, but a lot less would be victimized if we just put the batards who prey on children to sleep once and for all.

2/9/09 Naples news article. Sheriff still works on the case, it is an active investigation. Case has spread to the east coast of Florida, taking posters there. Leads have slowed down, but community members
'snipped.'
For their part, the community has continued to keep close contact with the Sheriff’s office regarding the situation, said Serrata.
She added that the Housing Authority has also kept in contact with Adji’s familyare still taking the fliers.

Thank you, I will do that.

I think the cases that get the most attention have a glimmer of a suspect or someone saying or doing something hinky. It gives people a thread to pick at. When a child just vanishes, there's not much for people to discuss except to try to make sure people don't forget to look out for the child and that LE stays on the case.

I think you "hit the nail right on the head"! If the story doesn't have some weird stuff going on then it doesn't stay in the media.

I just sent a 2000 character letter to "O" regarding Adji....

Good Morning, Adji. I am thinking about you and praying about you today.

I am praying for Adji to be found. This just breaks my heart. Thanks butwhatif for the email links.

Patty, you're a few hours from there, right? Are you hearing anything Adji on your local news?

I remember reading in the Miami Herald (I used to live there and still keep up with the news there) that the police thought he may be in Miami, but they never explained why they thought this.

I e-mailed to all the links about the Adji case. I live about 2 1/2 hours north from where he went missing and there is no information about him being missing in either the news stations or the paper. So sad, but I agree since there is no craziness from the family and they are from a farm community there is nothing to sensationalize. The parents and family members may have immigration issues that they don't want to come out or they are just not familiar as to the network TV reports on how to keep his story alive. He is in my prayers.

Good point. I worked in DV for a decade and I had a lot of clients who were not legal and thus avoided making any reports or seeking help. (I was able to help them anyway) But between abusers who threatened to call INS on them or just their own fear, they kept quiet. A lot of migrant workers around here.

Not saying there is a DV angle here, just agreeing that there might be other issues that have the family afraid to talk much. That's where a good victim advocate comes in to reassure them they can trust her if nothing else.

Sorry, I am rambling this morning.

I'm not Patty but I live about a half hour away and have heard absolutely nothing about this poor child in the past few weeks. He needs our help just as much as Caylee and Haleigh do.
