The body of an unidentified woman has been recovered from a car submerged in a lake in Deerfield Beach, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.
A Century Village resident reported seeing a portion of the car on the surface of the lake near the Upminster K building at 424 S. Century Blvd. about 7 p.m. Thursday.
Broward Sheriff’s deputies and divers retrieved the woman's body from the sunken Toyota Corolla.
This is at least the second time in recent weeks in which a body has been found in a submerged car in Deerfield Beach. On Aug. 26, a body was pulled from a car that a fisherman noticed was beneath about 15 feet of water on the west side of the 1500 block of Powerline Road. The identity of that person is not yet known.
