The last time anyone saw Deborah Saucier was last Tuesday. Candice says her mom spent a few hours at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino, and was caught by security cameras leaving around 9:45 p.m. that night.

Instead of going to her Ybor house, apparently Saucier drove straight to Julian B. Lane Park. The 62-year-old’s black SUV was discovered parked in a handicapped spot six days later. The retired teacher's purse, wallet and cellphone were all locked inside.

Saucier gets extremely tired, can't walk very far without needing a break, has hearing loss and also suffers from memory loss. The fact that she's been without her meds for nearly a week is a major concern.

Overly concerning. Julian B. Lane Park is right on the Hillsborough River. This article is from November: FOX 13 News - Tampa Bay

Sometime after 9:45pm she made it to the park. Do we know what the lighting conditions are there? Do we know if alligators would be in the park? I hope I am completely off base with this opinion of really not wanting to go there. Hopefully she is resting in a hospital bed somewhere. Have they looked into any Jane Does appearing around that time? So many questions, so many days gone by.

I live 20 minutes ay from the Hard Rock, I'll see what local news is saying.
*Update looking where Julian B. Lane Park is, my boss lives 5 minutes away in the Aurora Complex by Amalie Arena. Very, very nice area. I talked to him to be on the look out, he mentioned how much did she lose at the Casino? It caught me off guard but it is a very scenic area unlike Ybor and if she was suicidal. It might be an ideal place since it is a very populated and popular since the Lightining Hockey Owner and Bill Gates have built it up..but long stretch of trail that someone could jump in unnoticed.

Yes there are alligators there and also not a place you would want to be at night as far as the lighting and lots of trees.

Tampa woman missing over a week; family continue to worry, search for her

She was last seen on January 8 after spending the early evening at the Hard Rock Casino. She was seen leaving around 9:45 p.m. on security cameras. Detectives said she was alone, but didn’t return home. Instead, she was seen on cameras driving to the park near downtown Tampa. Her black SUV was later found parked in a handicapped spot, along with her purse, wallet and cell phone safely locked inside her car.

(because she parked her SUV and walked under the underpass) Someone could have been hiding inside her car went she left the Casino and she was escaping)

If the web cam shows her getting out of her car and walking, does it also show when the car left to park at the Park?

The only reason I can think of that she would get out of her car and walk under the underpass is if she had car trouble (but then she or someone else drove the car to the park after that) or if there was someone hiding in her car when she left the Casino but then why would her purse and other items still be inside the car after it was found at the Park?

My question is where is the Video?
If she was on Video walking under the underpass then there should also be a Video of the car being moved to the Park.

Tampa Police Department

Detectives are following all tips provided trying to locate 62 year old Deborah Saucier. This video shows her leaving the Hard Rock Casino, followed by a clip when she left her car at Julian B Lane Park. We hope this may jog the memory of someone in our community & they call with a tip to help us reunite her with family.
Deborah has not been seen since Jan 8, suffers from medical issues & requires medicine. If you see Deborah, please contact Tampa Police immediately at 813.231.6130
(19-17158)

Another piece of video places her at the Hard Rock on Jan. 8, 25 minutes before being seen on the park surveillance. Saucier walked north on a pathway, then turned west alongside Laurel Street, away from the river.

Candice, her daughter, has searched the park on foot with her husband and scores of co-workers. For two weeks, Deborah has been without her medication for memory loss and breathing.

Police hope videos lead to missing grandmother

Im trying to remember the case, but knowing now her medication is for memory loss.. I wonder if she took a bus to somewhere she lived before in her life.. I will have to see, but I remember a man talking transportation back to his childhood neighborhood where he was later found.

This is just heartbreaking. Having dealt with elderly parents one with Alzheimer's and another who had suffered a stroke and was still trying to drive the hardest thing I ever did with them was to take their car keys away from them and arrange for transport to church and the grocery (Dad cut me out of the will after I did so, but he was going to hurt himself or others). Too many seniors on Websleuths with memory issues out driving and going missing.

The current on the river is treacherous down there, especially if there are prevailing winds. Just don't have a good feeling about a relatively young woman suffering memory loss, who is cognizant of her deterioration and the burden of responsibility placed on her daughter. Adding to that a possible penchant for gambling... Just not good...
