Ocala police seek help identifying remains found over 20 years ago
The Ocala Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying human remains found in August 2000 when crews were excavating a water pipe, according to a news release.

Police said that Ocala Public Works crews were excavating the water pipe near the 600 block of SW 12th St. when they found human remains.
According to the release, “Medical professionals determined the unidentified person to be a white male in his 40s with distinctive dental features, including missing teeth and a gap between his upper front teeth.”
