PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Reina Marroquin, 44, walked out of work on New Year's Eve and got into a grey minivan, nothing out of the ordinary according to Port St. Lucie Police.
But the mother and grandmother never arrived home and hasn't picked up a paycheck in the last two weeks.
Police think she may be in danger.
They're now looking for Rene Marroquin, who is not related to Reina. Rene is the boyfriend of Reina's daughter. Investigators say Rene may have been violent towards Reina because she wanted him out of their lives.
Rene Marroquin is also missing. The grey van in which he drove Reina to and from work was found by Ft. PIerce Police Wednesday night.
The license plate had been switched. The van is now being held as evidence to a possible crime.
Detectives think Rene may be in San Antonio, Texas. They also alerted law enforcement agencies along the Mexican border.
Reina Marroquin was last seen around midnight New Year's Eve, leaving the KFC on St. Lucie West Boulevard in Port St. Lucie.
Anyone with information is asked to call Port St. Lucie Police, Ft. Pierce Police or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at (800) 273-TIPS.
