Bill Safos, a former reporter for Cleveland died tragically after being hit by a car.
For anyone who doesn’t know, Bill Safos was the reporter who really fought for Amanda Berry while she was missing and stayed in contact with Louwana, Amanda’s mom, during that time. Bill was one of the first to take Amanda’s disappearance seriously. He would take Louwana’s calls, staying on the line with her even late into the night. Bill also took Louwana to investigate a list of possible suspects she took from an FBI agent when they visited her house once. Bill was also the one who introduced Amanda and Gina’s families to each other after Gina went missing. Additionally, when Louwana was as in the hospital on her deathbed, Bill Safos was someone Louwana wanted to see.
Finally, before Louwana passed, she and a friend, Terri Sanchez, went shopping so Louwana could buy a shirt and tie for Bill to wear on the day Amanda came home and that’s what he did!
There’s a Go Fund Me for Bill Safos funeral expenses if anyone wants to donate to remember him for how he helped Louwana and tried to bring Amanda home!
