“It’s dreadful for our family. We haven’t heard anything, and my mom is dealing with health issues. It’s taken a toll on her,” Norris said.
“Not knowing where she is or where to look is stressful,” she said.
A police detective has received leads in the case, but has been unable to locate her or her car, police spokesman Geof Gilland said Friday.
"As of now there is no reason to suspect foul play and this is being investigated as a missing person," he said.
The family last had contact with Nash on June 20 while she was staying at the Sleep Inn on Atlanta Highway
Later they learned from a motel clerk that Nash had checked out and gave no indication that anything was amiss, according to the report. She, nor her gray four-door 2021 Honda Civic, have been seen since.
The family told police that Nash was financially stable, but she was a private person. They didn’t know of any close friends they might contact, nor were they aware of any issues involving medical or mental health.
The family also told police that she didn’t use alcohol or drugs and that she has two daughters.
“We’ve drove around to every place we can think of,” Norris told the Banner-Herald. She doesn’t answer her phone, the sister said.
