If LE determines that the recording is a fake I wouldn't be surprised if the family disagrees. JMOI’m not ruling anything out. But scammers have become incredibly good, especially in the past year.
Either way, I’m somewhat encouraged by the reports that the price was only 1k - that’s a lot of $ to a kid. It could be a teen overly confident in his editing skills and easy to rule as a fake, OR a teen savvy enough to record something valuable and price it accordingly. It should be easy to ascertain whether it’s real or fake, IMO.
