Unsolved Recent Cases - Jensen and Holes: The Murder Squad - Omny.fm
''This week Billy and Paul cover recent unsolved cases. Katie Janess and her dog were killed in Piedmont Park in Atlanta. Tori Lang's body was discovered in Yellow River Park. Mat George was killed by a hit and run driver in Los Angeles. Fatima Johnson's daughters discovered their mother murdered in Los Angeles.''

Smart and beautiful with a loving stable family, Tori was going places in her life.
Who resented that, who stopped it all with a single gunshot ?
Tori's looks, brains and the vehicle that gets her places, destroyed.
Somebody jealous ? imo, speculation, imo.

Family of Georgia Honors Student Found Murdered in Park Wants Answers: 'Friends Aren't Talking'
''The 18-year-old Stephenson High School honors graduate was enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship program with a plan to attend college. She loved her Pomeranian dog, Tyga, and was delivering groceries part-time.

In her free time, she loved coming up with inventions with her dad Torrey, an inventor and former truck driver.

"We got vision boards all around the house," says Torrey. "We would share ideas. I needed her brain so I'd be in tune with things. She'd say, 'Oh, Daddy, you use this, kids are not doing that anymore.' She kept me innovative."

Then, tragedy struck.

On July 28, a passerby found her body in Yellow River Park in Stone Mountain, Ga. She had been killed by a gunshot wound.''

"I believe that he was actually a friend of Tori’s at one point and that is how they knew each other," said Gwinnett Police Sgt. Jennifer Richter.''

“She just brought the best out of people,” her dad, Torrey Lang said last year. "She was a beautiful person, inside and out."

"This was a very complex investigation that required our detectives to do a lot of work and a lot of interviews and speak to a lot of people that had been involved in Tori’s life before her death," she explained. "And over time they were able to develop this suspect and then they were able to put together enough information to link him to the crime."
Jail records show Ford is being held in Clayton County for an unrelated theft by receiving stolen property charge. Court records show he has been there since March 24.

He will be brought to Gwinnett County at a later date, police said. ''

What deep betrayal this family is enduring. I find it is the most difficult emotion to overcome. Coupled with their precious daughter's death, they must feel crushed. It feels me with sorrow.

"A family is in shock after they learned the man police said killed their teenage daughter was her best friend.
The family said this is confusing because Ford was Tori’s best friend, and she would do anything for him."

With it being now over a year since authorities found 18-year-old Tori Lang shot to death under a tree at a metro Atlanta park, police have indicted the 20-year-old suspect on eight charges.
The new indictment, confirmed on Wednesday, charges Austin Ford with felony murder, aggravated assault, voluntary manslaughter, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of theft by taking, and tampering with evidence, according to documents from the Gwinnett Police Department.

Beauty and the Beast, imo.

From link, thanks..rbbm,

''Gwinnett Police Sgt. Jennifer Richter said in April that she believed Ford was actually a friend of Tori at a point in time, which is how the two happened to know each other.
Tori, a 2020 honors graduate of Stephenson High School, was planning for college. Her father, who she is named after, previously told 11Alive she always lived for others.''
