This was voluntary action by co pilot. Calls from pilot can be heard.

There was no response by co pilot but he can be heard breathing and was alive until crash.

Conclusions so far is co-pilot refused to let captain re-enter cockpit + then triggered plane's descent, says #Marseille prosecuto

Prosecutor outlined the alert going up from control tower. The pilot can be heard trying to force the door which was a strong door as per international norms.

The noise of the impact can be heard. No distress message was received by control tower from pilot.

The pilot asks the co-pilot to take over. The pilot leaves for a “natural call”.

While alone the co-pilot accelerates descent. He used keys of monitoring system to speed up descent, it was voluntary.

Brice Robin says most plausible interpretation is that co-pilot refused to open the door to the pilot and he took the plane down. “The intention was to destroy this plane”.

The co-pilot is German, says Robin. “He was breathing normally, he did not utter a single word” after the pilot left the cabin.
---
“We could hear the cries minutes before the plane crashed.”
---
“I think he refused to open the door and turned the button to get down the plane. It was a voluntary action on the part of the co-pilot... He is not known as a terrorist, absolutely not.”

The intention was to destroy the plane. [emoji17]

Co pilot's nationality was GERMAN.

(Co pilot) He was breathing normally. He didn't utter a word after the pilot left the cockpit.

"If the captain could have opened the door, he would have done it. Co-pilot had no reason not to let captain come into the cabin, no reason to use code to disable contact with other planes in the area. His breathing was normal. It was not the breathing of someone having a cardiac arrest.

The passengers did not know till last minute. The cries could only be heard at the last minute."

Just unthinkable. I have to say, this is an extraordinary press conference. The Cop-pilot deliberately allowed plane to descend. Shocking.

Prosecutor was asked about ethnic origin of co pilot and I don't think he's answered that.

He was not known as a wanted terrorist, however.

He awaits further information from German authorities/judiciary.

Just sickening. Looking forward to background on the copilot. I do not think his background will be squeaky clean.

"It was like a plane landing, but there was no airport" - Marseille prosecutor
