The pic of her smiling like a Cheshire cat while standing with Trump and Paris Hilton turns my stomach. As much as I've ridiculed PH in the past for being a socialite parasite, I hope she was never abused by JE/GM.

Although Paris Hilton had a young / stupid public persona before the Kardashians became the style to emulate, she really has always been a pretty smart woman and able to stay quite independent and away from trashy boyfriends, quickie marriages or divorces, and other general young person drama.

I think PH never needed money and would never want to be in JE's circle. She has a strong and warm powerful family that would easily be able to suss out that JE and GW were bad company.

Nygard apparently used similar tactics to GM/JE. NEW: A federal judge orders records unsealed in accuser Virginia Giuffre's litigation with Alan Dershowitz. Those include letters by Giuffre, Dershowitz and Victoria's Secret CEO Les Wexner (plus the Wexner family's attorney John Zeiger).

(Note: Wexner stepped down earlier this year, and so it's "ex-CEO".) Both Dershowitz and Giuffre want testimony from Wexner and Zeiger, the order notes. Judge Preska sets a hearing in the case for a week from today: Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. EST.

Ghislaine Maxwell's criminal defense counsel wants to know the identities of the three victims cited in her indictment, and they want her transferred to the general population of pretrial lock-up. They say she's on suicide watch because of Epstein—but she's not suicidal.
Citing unspecified "critical new information" impacting her criminal and civil cases, Ghislaine Maxwell wants to pause the unsealing process in the open-records battle for three weeks. Maxwell's counsel claims she cannot disclose that info because of a protective order.

Attorneys for GM said in a court filing Monday that they've learned of "critical new information" that impacts her criminal case and a civil case where dozens of documents are expected to be unsealed.

Her attorneys have asked that the documents, including depositions, remain sealed for three weeks as they work with prosecutors to see if they can share information with the court.

Her attorneys initiated conversations with the US Attorney's Office for the SDNY over the weekend with the intention of modifying the protective order so they could share the information, possibly under seal, to argue to stop the release of documents.

GM is complaining about conditions inside the 'hell-hole' jail where she is being kept ahead of her sex crimes trial.

Her lawyers said that she was recently taken off suicide watch but is being subjected to multiple searches each day and is under constant watch of the guards. They said the searches and surveillance should be stopped, and requested that she be taken out of solitary confinement and placed in with other prisoners.

Her legal team say she is only being subjected to the 'onerous' conditions because JE died while awaiting trial in what was ruled a suicide. They argue that she 'has never been suicidal and was never diagnosed as exhibiting risk factors for suicide,' but is still woken up every few hours during the night and forced to wear special clothing. Her lawyer wrote in a letter that she has also been forced to undergo body scans.

The letter also asks that she 'be released to the general population and be granted the privileges given to other pre-trial detainees'. He also requested for her to be given more computer time in order to review the reams of documents relating to her case.

It rather sounds like a death wish if she’s asking to be released into the general prison population. That will never happen. She's going to have to learn to suffer the indignities of being a prisoner, and those indignities are nowhere near as bad as the ones her victims had to endure.
