The fixation on Shannan Gilbert is embarrassing and an inconclusive autopsy on a skeletonized body that spent months in the open means nothing to me. Of course it would be inconclusive.

As I read between the lines here it seems like you're frustrated with how much attention Shannan's case gets -like she's the LISK victim poster child yet is still technically a possible LISK victim. I'm curious then why you don't bring attention to the other victims by engaging on their threads. There's one for each (MBB,MB,MW,AC) plus JT and all of the unidentified victims, each with an impressive amount of research and discussion.

The best one of them all is the detective writing the letter to Newsday saying he heard the 911 tape and found no evidence SG's life was in danger. On a personal note - that same detective was charged with investigating the 9/24/03 murder of a Peter Ghattas that is unsolved to this day. And guess who can be connected to that murder? Tell me Tom Spota when your witness was killed what did you do to find out how his killers knew he was cooperating with you against Burke's neighbor.

50% of me agrees with you LetThemEatCake, but there is a part of me that cannot completely discount the possibility that perhaps SG did meet the same fate as the other 4 girls found at Gilgo (MBB,MB,MW,AC).

What interests me more about the autopsy is: Weren't there rumors that much of her hyoid bone was lost by the Suffolk ME office and that Baden only had a small portion of her neck bones or hyoid to test which is why the tests came out inconclusive?

Please lead me to the truth anyone who knows.

Sorry just clearing up so we can better understand. Was the detective charged for something in a court of law bc he handled the Ghattas investigation improperly or did you mean simply that he headed the Ghattas investigation? TIA.

And beyond that her hyoid bone seems to have been near destroyed by gnawing from animals like rats which made it even more difficult for Baden. (Sorry to say that. Poor SG.)

No problem Daisy. I hear ya, its hard to determine whether the damage to the bone was due to the elements/animals or homicidal strangulation. Anythings possible. I found this snippet from the cbs article interesting because of the hole found in the bone..

Telling 911 someone is trying to kill you when by multiple witness accounts nobody was, and then running off in the stix before the law shows up yeah there's nothing normal about that behavior. Also according to her boyfriend she had acted out on a date previously. I think it was on the A&E special where he mentions this, maybe not to this extent but there is precedent if he is to be believed.

Well, those multiple witnesses were the people she was afraid of -- the john and her driver. Statistically speaking, men in these positions ARE very dangerous to a woman who is in prostitution. So I'm not willing to simply take their word on what happened that night.

That , I believe was the strategy, to mix up this case so much it would be next to impossible to ever solve. Who are the buyers of snuff? Thats what the fbi needs to look in to. They may already know. I read that it can be found for sale on the deep dark web. This case speaks an evil beyond basic serial killer, trust me. I don't believe the bodies are ritually dumped. Instead, after filming they have to find a way to get rid of them. Selecting small women to mimic the look of children. I can go on and on...
