Greece Greece - Ben Needham, 21 mos, Isle of Kos, 24 July 1991

Isn’t dna just that like on 23 and me. Can immediately say where in the world you are likely from at the source. African / Caribbean / Gaelic ?
It's not that reliable really. I have done Dna with ancestry and 23andme and the results are vastly different and also, as new data is gathered and the amount of people who submit their DNA increases, the results can change.

The mum of missing Ben Needham said "miracles do happen" as she revealed the reappearance of Alex Batty had given her fresh hope of seeing her son again. Kerry Needham's son was just 21-months-old when he vanished in 1991 while staying with his grandparents on the Greek island of Kos.

Police fear the toddler died in a tragic incident involving a digger, although his body has never been found. But Kerry said she is more determined than ever to bring Ben home after 17-year-old Alex returned to his family in the UK after being missing abroad for six years, the Mirror reports.

Kerry, 51, said: “It shows miracles do happen ❤️ and missing children do turn up even after several years. Although the circumstances are very different, it gives me hope. I will never give up on the fact there’s always a chance my son could turn up too.”

[mod snip - unnecessary comment]
That being said, I really do sympathise with her. I can understand why she would be in denial after being tricked into thinking her son was abducted for however many years.
Unfortunately this case is completely different to Ben's and not really much of a "miracle" when you look into the details a bit further.

I mostly edge towards the digger theory, but I have always had a fairly open mind about this case. Is it possible that Christian Brueckner was linked to his disappearance? I am aware that he has been investigated in connection with a few other missing children and unsolved murders across Europe asides from Maddie.

False hope? or genuine.

EXCLUSIVE:

Third person claims to be missing toddler Ben Needham as mum gives Jay Slater warning

Wednesday sees the 33rd anniversary of 21-month-old Ben’s disappearance from the Greek island of Kos and mum Kerry has to wait to see if a stranger could be Ben - for the third time this year

You never know. It's probably not him but you could have many of these and one might turn out to be Ben. I wonder how long Kerry will have to wait for the answer?

Authorities are set to contrast the Danish mans DNA profile against the Guthrie heel-prick blood sample collected shortly after Ben's birth at Boston Hospital in Lincolnshire. Kerry recounted the long history of leads and purported sightings over the 33 years, many of which were initially pursued by the distraught family themselves

Hey guys I wanted to post this because little Ben could by anywhere right now- its been so long. This case has had a lot of publicity over here and his mother is constantly on tv shows/radio.

Work done by a private investigator suggests Ben was abducted "to order" for an illegal adoption and may not know he is missing

Please keep you eyes open especially those of you who may be travelling to Kos/Greece/Turkey for your holidays this year.........

In 1991 Ben then 21 months old together with his Grandparents and parents moved from England to live on the Greek Island of Kos. On 24th July 1991 Ben disappeared from outside a farm house in the village of Iraklise which was being renovated by his Grandparents. Ben is now nearly 14 years old and has not been seen by his biological family since the day he disappeared. Ben's family are still highly distressed at not knowing what happened. There have been many reported sightings of Ben on the Greek islands and the mainland particularly during 1991 and 1992.

Heres Bens hompage with an age progression www.benneedham.info

I remember there was a time about 3 years ago when the really thought they'd found Ben- but DNA tests proved it wasn't him.

This is interesting http://www.benneedham.info/latest.htm

I know its a long shot but please just be aware Ben could be anywhere by now.
its said he was knocked down by digger at the time and buried accidently, i never bought it , but thats quoted many times.

so easy to abduct a child, eg maddi mcan, and hundreds more, left alone by parents

I see you point and I agree but I also want to point out that his mum was at work and he was in the care of his grandparents. I find it bizarre that they dug for his body, found a shoe, said ‘well he’s dead’ and then never continued digging

yes...grandparents didnt think of danger lurking many dont....but if they found a shoe its strange they didnt dig further? somewhat, as in maddis case the parents no lock on apartment and went to dinner down the road left maddi and 2 babes in unlocked apartment, they were doctors, and yet so stupid it beggars belief?
