Amy Bradley is who you are referring to. She went missing from a cruise ship in 1998, so it has been 20 years that she has been gone. Here is a WS thread for her, but it is closed for any further comments:

This cruise ship is very different from the yacht in this current case. The yacht had 14 rooms/cabins, while the Rhapsody of the Seas cruise ship carries roughly 2500 passengers. I don’t think there are any similarities between the 2 cases IMHO.

I wonder if she had a bad breakup and then there was an incident with a crew member on board, two separate people? It sounds like she was partying rather hard that night. Could it be the kind of partying that you do when you're trying to drink away heartbreak? Maybe she was a little toasted and a male crew member took advantage of her, she rebuffed his advances, he got angry... (totally speculating, IMO, etc).

I would find it absolutely bonkers bizarre if the breakup happened, and then 15 minutes later she hung herself. That sounds way too impulsive for a suicide, right? Or am I off base?

I had a friend who shot himself within minutes of finding out his wife had cheated. Not at all implausible, IMHO.

I'd be suspicious if I was told to "...not come and look at her body...."
Even if I couldn't handle it.. I'd want a forensic specialist to take a clear look for signs of foul play. Just saying.

My condolences for her loved ones. She was very young !
And if it was suicide... how sad that at her age , she felt like there was no hope left.

Yeah I find that highly suspicious.

This situation has many similarities for an older case involving two Australian boys who were in Greece.

I mean absolutely no disrespect to the Milonas, Karalis and Loizos families.

"MARK COLVIN: The family of a Melbourne man killed in Greece six years ago finally got the verdict they'd been waiting for today. A coroner declared that the deaths of their son and his cousin on a boat off the coast near Athens were murder.

It took a Victorian coroner to reach that verdict six years after the two mutilated bodies were found, because Greek investigators had jumped to the conclusion that the killings were a murder-suicide resulting from a lovers' dispute.

Now the family has legal backing for what they've always believed - that the two were killed by a third party, but still no one can say just who killed the men.

The family claim that Greek authorities covered up the murder to avoid embarrassment because Athens had just been named for the 2004 Olympics.

They're demanding an inquiry into the Greek investigation and they want the Federal Government to help apply pressure.

RACHEL CARBONELL: George Karalis and George Loizos were cousins who grew up in Melbourne together.

In 1998 George Karalis took a holiday to visit his cousin who was then living in Greece with his wife.

On the 2nd of June the pair set off for a boating day drip in the Evian Gulf. Their badly wounded bodies were found tied to their boat by a fisherman the next morning.

Within hours of their bodies being found, Greek authorities declared that George Karalis had murdered his cousin and then killed himself, speculating that they were lovers who had had a fight.

George Karalis's mother, Helen, says the men weren't homosexual or in a relationship and she never believed the investigators' original verdict."
