OMG...I am livid!!!

I had to step away from this for a while...but after hearing this "presser" - for lack of a better word - I am more determined than ever before to help find Hailey and bring some dignity to her - as it, (dignity), appears to be lacking from what I've jut heard and read.

Speechless...going to catch up.
 
I have most respect for Carrie McGonigle...I knows she feels she walked in Billie Dunn shoes.

On sex offenders...I always so surprise how fast LE say that they clear all sex offenders. So I agree with that. In fact I think Carrie was almost arrested yelling at sex offender when her daughter was missing.

I guess I thinking on another level about this (whatever it was)!

I so glad to hear Haley Dunn name in news. sorry I really don't have much faith in CC police department. IMO
 
FWIW and JMO due to BD's behavior, inconsistant statements and what not, I don't believe a word from her, so I can easily tune her out when she speaks because what she says at this point has little or no value.
I do, however, find what these other women have to say, of some value or at least interesting and would very much like to know if it is true that CCity LE has sat on possible evidence. Something has not been "right" about this investigation from Day 1, when LE proclaimed Hailey to be a runaway eventhough this runaway did not take ONE thing with her. Something is just not right in CCity.
 
I think that it would be wise for these ladies to understand who it is they are standing beside and why this may reflect badly on them. If they do not know exactly who Billie is and how Billie has behaved it would be in their best interest to educate themselves.

When you have the "mother" of a missing child still in a relationship with the main POI in that childs case there is a huge problem.

When you have the "mother" of a missing child move away from the only place her child has ever known as home before her child is found there is an even bigger problem.

As far as Ms Billie demanding that things be done the way she wants them done, she needs to reflect back on her own past behavior and realize that she is not doing herself any favors by her continued actions and words.

From what i got it sounded like they were saying ok we will give you this if you promiss to do that .But what could they have to trade in the first place .

ETA: Does BD have information that she's been withholding for 8 months? Did BD offer to give LE information in exchange for immunity? IDK
 
It is very disturbing if LE ignores tips and potential evidence but maybe these people are not aware of everything LE has done to follow up. I assume they wouldn't think Amber Dubois's mom or a random searcher are owed regular updates about the state of the investigation. Maybe if someone found bones in the woods or some items of garbage and an officer went there and determined with a glance that the bones aren't human and the garbage had cans that dated from 2002 or the place they were found was inconsistent with some other information that they have but aren't disclosing the stuff might get left in the woods and not bagged as evidence because they were deemed irrelevant. If tips are in fact being ignored due to lack of resources or interest in solving the case it is very concerning, but I'm not sure how BD would know one way or another if she's not talking to LE.

I don't understand the bit about the deal. What deal? If these people have something to trade, something that helps solve the case and bring Hailey home what kind of a deal is needed? Just do it IMO.

I also don't understand blaming LE for not talking to Billie for months. Billie has a phone, she can call them. Her lawyer was mentioned and if her lawyer told LE Billie won't talk what can LE do? When they say Billie hasn't spoken with LE for months, do they mean Billie wasn't present at this all important conference in which they spoke with LE about the deal? She could have spoken with LE then. If she wasn't there, why not? Was she sitting on her azz somewhere? Why doesn't she call LE and ask to be updated if she wants LE to communicate with her?

I also find it an interesting change of perspective that BD used to be outraged that the searchers were looking for the dead Hailey's bones in ugly places and now she's outraged that LE (allegedly) doesn't look for her and simultaneously outraged that LE has suggested to her that Hailey is dead.

One thing that wasn't answered but I am curious about is, how many sex offenders does BD know? How did she find out that Clint knows six?

The "Clint doesn't have a lawyer" comment sounded a bit like they were alluding that LE should be focusing on Clint and his friends more. What about BD's back yard? What was that comment all about?
 
I find it interesting that this past February BD was bashing the Hailey's Angel's searchers, to the point that the HA searchers felt like quitting. Does anyone remember that? BD was outraged that Hailey's Angels were looking in fields and creeks. Now she's pointing an accusatory finger at LE for not looking in the same fields the searchers say they found bones (which have yet to be confirmed as human or animal). I thought BD hated the "ugly creeks and fields".

Why is BD trying to make it seem that the searchers are suddenly her BFFs? Because they're bashing LE?

Perhaps BD hates LE more than she hates the ugly creeks and fields. She was, after all, arrested and convicted recently on charges of lying to LE when she tried to hide her lover's (the only official suspect's) whereabouts when LE came to her door to serve a search warrant on him during the child *advertiser censored* investigation. Hmmmm - it gives one pause for thought, does it not?

Why does BD suddenly seem so enthusiastic about bones that have been found in a field - especially when she was recently infuriated that the searchers were looking for a *dead* Hailey?

Could it be because she has been informed of the location of the bones the searchers found, and she knows the location is not where her daughter was disposed?

I noticed BD didn't flinch when CM talked about the bones in the presser - it's reminiscent of FCA's non-reaction to the Blanchard Park search.

If it's true that LE hasn't followed up on what the searchers found - especially if they may have found human bones - then I'm outraged, as well. But BD's about-face is as phony as a $3 bill.

This past February was also when BD came up with a new version of events in which she claimed that she told HD not to leave the house the day HD went missing (when she hadn't mentioned a word about that during all her media interviews the previous 2 months).

This past February was also when LE were searching local landfills for possible evidence.

This past February was also when it was reported that images of "child *advertiser censored* and bestiality" were found on a memory stick that was confiscated from BD's house in January. BD admitted that SA "was the one who brought over the memory stick that was confiscated".

This past February was also when BD's mother was arrested on charges of a controlled substance. Geez - is there anyone in Hailey's family that is clean & sober???

This past February was also when Mark Klaas regretted his defense of BD, and publicly distanced himself from her, and said that she "should be ashamed of herself". CM would be well-advised to steer clear of BD, as well, IMO.

This past February was also when wildfires broke out in several locations near C-City & BD's house and burned for several days.

If the searchers have discovered bones, then LE needs to investigate. For all we know, they HAVE investigated, and the bones turned out to be animal bones, which could be a reason why nothing else came of it. IDK

I would have given this recent presser a bit of credibility if BD had not been there.

All this talk about "We made law enforcement an offer to help bring Hailey home" reeks of manipulation, IMO.

The sheriff was quoted as saying that there was, but in the affidavit that was submitted later to get the warrant to search the GMs house, no mention of CP from the items taken from BDs house was made by the investigator who actually examined it, and that would be the most accurate information available on that subject. The conclusion then is that either Toombs was misinformed, did not understand what his people told him or was simply guessing (in other words incompetent). Alternatively he was misquoted/paraphrased by the reporters, or they simply made stuff up and subsequent reports in other media simply kept repeating the error.

But in any event, the affidavit is the last and most accurate word, since the person making the oath would not lie about that, neither would they leave out something that was relevant to the search warrant they were applying for.

So, no CP in BD's house.

This has been on my mind all night and the only sense I can come up with is LE and TES have been in contact. Since they need to narrow down a search area before TES can come in, maybe Carrie is a plant to chum up with BD & SA. Pointing fingers at CD (tho I agree he should scrutinized...including a LDT) to make them feel comfy, etc. I just can't believe Carrie is on BD's bandwagon and believes it was an outside SO.

Did we ever hear WHAT was SA's REASON for leaving work that day?

I don't think it was ever mentioned...by anyone..nor was ever asked by a reporter to my memory. Anyone?

And as for LE communicating with Billie and the ladies at the press conference, I don't know of any investigators who would share sensitive information with a group who publicly aligns themselves with persons of interest. Isn't that a no-brainer, folks? Besides IIRC, Billie's lawyer told her not to speak with LE months ago. Why would they try to contact her when her counsel has indicated she is off-limits?
 
BD sure has some nerve to demand anything. She beats everything I've ever seen. The crap she has pulled over the past 8 months is mind-boggling, and to think that she is now giving LE an ultimatum is beyond belief.
 
V, isn't Billies Lawyer out on bail, but still facing felony charges? She prob doesn't have representation right now. But you're right, she was told to zip it. She's a PR nightmare the minute she opens her mouth. But even before she got that weirdo Attorney, she complained LE wasn't telling her anything or keeping her updated. Basically it's been that way from the get-go, does she really not understand why?

About that deal with LE. I assumed CM offered search help or funding though her organization, Team Amber. What else could it have been? If I hadn't seen the pics of BD and SA standing next to each other at the Vigil, I would have thought BD was going to roll over on SA. But since they are evidently still a couple, that's out the door.

Billie knows Hailey isn't going to be found. It's "safe" for her to buddy up to searchers and talk about bones in a field, because that's not where "Hailey is hidden". Billie will continue to point the finger away from herself and Shawn. They are growing cocky, eight months and so far it's all worked out. Just makes you want to vomit ...

Toombs also responded to accusations leveled at the efforts of law enforcement during an impromptu news conference held after a balloon-release and vigil Saturday in Colorado City.

He said Billie Dunn, along with representatives of various search organizations, criticized the way the investigation was proceeding — specifically with regard to looking at local sex offenders — and the lack of communication between law enforcement and Billie Dunn.

"Well, for one, we have looked at every sex offender in the entire county. Multiple times even. We've looked at them and the FBI has looked at them, multiple times," Toombs said.

"And as far as communication, that was the decision of Billie and her attorney not to speak with us," he said.
