They probably aren't; the missing man is most likely a suicide, but of course we can't know that yet. Several people do that every year, by jumping off a bridge into the Mississippi River.

Latest update: They're turning people away when it comes to looking for Breasia. Some people have been offended, but I personally think they don't want anyone interfering with the investigation, and the police probably know things that can't be released just yet.

Yeah from what I can tell does look like suicide. Just coincidence he went missing during the SAME time as Breasia.

Someone quoted in an earlier post that the victim was 5 years old - it does say 0-13 yrs old. This makes it a much more serious offense than a 17 yrs old with a possible girl friend of 13!
He also has, according to an earlier post over 60 arrests for a multitude of crim

We haven’t heard what the cousin (no longer a brother) has to say about the goings on in that residence during the night, nor do we know his age.

Yes I actually saw in a news article that it was a 5 year old. Which is just HORRIBLE.

What if this Paul Campbell guy (who is ALSO missing) saw something (like Breasia) in the Mississippi river and tried to save her or something and that is why he is missing too? Just a thought. Maybe a stretch but could be a possibility. He went missing in about the SAME area where they are searching on Concord street from what I am seeing.

Found an article that was updated at 1am to say the late-night search did not turn up anything.
Update: Late-night search comes up empty for missing girl

Acting on a tip, law enforcement officials searched an area along South Concord Street south of River Drive late Monday night in hopes of finding missing 10-year-old Breasia Terrell of Davenport.

More than 100 people congregated at the junction of the two streets but went home disappointed after midnight when the search ended unsuccessfully.

From the same article, it seems the sex offender needs to get a new lawyer due to a conflict of interest.

Dinkins’ court-appointed attorney, Russell Dircks, filed a motion in Scott County Court asking to be removed from the case on the grounds that Dinkins is “a person of interest” in Breasia’s disappearance. Dircks said his wife is a teacher who has worked with Breasia, so he had a conflict of interest.

“Aishia Lankford, mother of Breasia Terrell, spoke with Henry Earl Dinkins this morning, she said. Dinkins asked for the meeting and claimed he had nothing to do with the disappearance of her 10-year-old daughter.

Dinkins is being held at the Scott County Jail on a sex offender violation. His lawyer called Dinkins a "person of interest" in a motion to withdraw from the case. Davenport Police have not named him as a suspect.

Breasia was last seen in the 2700 block of E. 53rd St. Her grandmother said Breasia had joined her grandson, Dinkins' son, at a sleepover at Dinkins' apartment on Thursday. Breasia was reported missing on Friday morning.“

AVENPORT, Ia. — Police and dozens of volunteers have been searching for a 10-year-old Davenport girl missing since last week.

Law enforcement officials searched an area along River Drive late Monday night after receiving a tip, but found no sign of Breasia Terrell, who was last seen Friday on East 53rd Street, the Quad-City Times reported.

Earlier Monday, dozens of volunteers walked through the wooded area of Davenport's Credit Island, an island on the Mississippi River, looking for the girl.

So do y'all believe him? I don't JMO. It would be great if she just wandered off and they found her safe, highly unlikely that early in the morning.

It kind of amazes me that she said that their relationship broke up, or she “stepped back” because of his “weird ways” and that he was “always incarcerated”. Not sure why she’d let him care for her 10yo daughter, especially as a convicted sex offender. Or their son together. I wonder if he had changed his behavior, she said their relationship was about 8.5 years ago and they were together for 2-3 years (although not reporting his address to register as required doesn’t point to that)? Or if the sex offense was so long ago that she didn’t feel it was relevant? Or she thought he was innocent of that offense? Not placing blame on her, just curious as to her reasoning.
