Being local and familiar with the area that they are searching. It is along the Mississippi River.
They probably aren't; the missing man is most likely a suicide, but of course we can't know that yet. Several people do that every year, by jumping off a bridge into the Mississippi River.
Latest update: They're turning people away when it comes to looking for Breasia. Some people have been offended, but I personally think they don't want anyone interfering with the investigation, and the police probably know things that can't be released just yet.
Someone quoted in an earlier post that the victim was 5 years old - it does say 0-13 yrs old. This makes it a much more serious offense than a 17 yrs old with a possible girl friend of 13!
He also has, according to an earlier post over 60 arrests for a multitude of crim
We haven’t heard what the cousin (no longer a brother) has to say about the goings on in that residence during the night, nor do we know his age.
Acting on a tip, law enforcement officials searched an area along South Concord Street south of River Drive late Monday night in hopes of finding missing 10-year-old Breasia Terrell of Davenport.
More than 100 people congregated at the junction of the two streets but went home disappointed after midnight when the search ended unsuccessfully.
Dinkins’ court-appointed attorney, Russell Dircks, filed a motion in Scott County Court asking to be removed from the case on the grounds that Dinkins is “a person of interest” in Breasia’s disappearance. Dircks said his wife is a teacher who has worked with Breasia, so he had a conflict of interest.
Terrible audio for Breasia's mom. I couldn't make out a word she said. Stopped it 6 minutes in.
“Aishia Lankford, mother of Breasia Terrell, spoke with Henry Earl Dinkins this morning, she said. Dinkins asked for the meeting and claimed he had nothing to do with the disappearance of her 10-year-old daughter.
Dinkins is being held at the Scott County Jail on a sex offender violation. His lawyer called Dinkins a "person of interest" in a motion to withdraw from the case. Davenport Police have not named him as a suspect.
Breasia was last seen in the 2700 block of E. 53rd St. Her grandmother said Breasia had joined her grandson, Dinkins' son, at a sleepover at Dinkins' apartment on Thursday. Breasia was reported missing on Friday morning.“
UPDATE: Breasia Terrell's mother met with Henry Earl Dinkins this morning
So do y'all believe him? I don't JMO. It would be great if she just wandered off and they found her safe, highly unlikely that early in the morning.
