Search underway for missing Challis man | East Idaho News

The Custer County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing Challis man.

Charles “Charlie” Lawrence McBride, 23, was last seen on Feb. 25. Friends who have spoken with EastIdahoNews.com say McBride Was last seen going to work, but he has not been seen since.

No information was available about the clothing he was wearing, according to a Custer County news release.

Charles has been missing for a week now and not much info.
He was last seen on Feb. 25 going to work. Where is his job located in relation to his residence.
Was he traveling on foot or in vehicle and if using vehicle why no description of it.
I hope didn't get lost/stranded in a snow storm and succumb to the elements.

Who actually reported Charles missing. Was it the person who was last seen with him or was it family member, friend, neighbor or employer. What is Charles occupation and where and who does he work for. Maybe his job requires him to leave the area on a periodic basis. Maybe Charles lives by himself and doesn't communicate with many people and could have left on his own without telling anyone. I hope this is the situation and not a self harm or foul play situation.
 
According to Charlies's FB page he works for the Idaho State Parks and Recreation Dept. as a trial ranger. He might have gone missing in one of the parks he was working at but have not seen any statements from the State Park Dept. in regards to Charlies disappearance buy maybe I missed it.
I wish there was more information available to public regarding his disappearance.
 
Per TOS, can't link to data, but IMHO: Charlie went to work that day for/with the man referenced in @JerseyGirls post. It did not sound as if he went to his usual job, but maybe side work or similar. History btwn the two men had family wondering why Charlie would agree to go with him. I have to wonder if he was lured.
Note-I'm neither local nor in touch w family.

The most recent MSM updates on Charlie were almost a week ago. His family has not started a Help Find FB page or at least I have not seen one. The Sheriff's Office is searching for him but where are the searches located. In a small city/county in should be easier to narrow down places to search.
Charlie has been missing for two weeks now and no updates on him. This is either a false report or a foul play situation.
 
According to the above post Sheriff Office personnel have searched the property of a certain individual who has cooperated 100% and no evidence of Charlie was found on the property.
Releasing the name of the individual might violate TOS as he isn't a Suspect or POI. I assume this person has some type of association of with Charlie but don't know the nature of it. At least there is no evidence of foul play on the property which is good news but where is Charlie.

The sister-in-law of a Challis man is trying to get help regarding his disappearance over two weeks ago. The man suffers from asthma, which requires him to have a rescue inhaler close by.

Mari Kelley McBride has sent emails to numerous media outlets this week seeking information about her family member, 24-year-old Charles Lawrence McBride. According to her email, he hasn't been seen since February 23, 2019. He may have recently traveled to Buhl from Challis.

I have the same question. The sister-in-law doesn't explain why Charlie might have traveled to Buhl. Does he have friends, family or employment there. If he did travel there did he have his own vehicle and why no description of it. According to Google Maps the distance between Challis and Buhl is about 200mi or about a 3.5 hr drive. Has his family informed the State Patrol or any hospital on the route to BOLO for Charlie. Has anyone from his family been to his residence to see if his inhaler is still there or gone. If it is missing then there is cause for concern. No info about cell phone or financial transactions either. Another strange disappearance in Idaho.

Charles has numerous tattoos covering both arms, left hand, leg, right calf, and right shoulder.
