if the father is convinced (as he's stated) the child is no longer at the site, again, why are they refusing to leave?

I thought 'water' was the culprit, but somebody here has posted about how this dad discovered AFTER his son vanished that there was a dirt road at an elevation ABOVE the family's campsite, and if somebody/-ies were 'up there', they could have been watching the campsite the entire time without any family members being aware of that. Anyone have any pics' - aerial? pics of that road? pics taken FROM that 'road above', showing what a predator would have been able to see? Also, where did that road 'go' (to, and from) ?? tyia

Could somebody who knows about those things, please post full details - maps? dates? descriptions of the incidences? what children (boy-girl, age) is missing including WHERE they went missing, and how about map-dates-descriptions for 'found' deceased kids (boys), bodies, bones, etc., including WHERE found.

Days ago, I got thinking about the wildlife in the area (as a possibility I really did NOT want to consider)...I ran this awful thought by somebody and their reply: The tracking dogs would have definitely picked up on this, which made sense to me.

Last night as I was falling asleep I thought of Deorr's parents. Some have asked when they will be going home. I thought about that.

Going home will be giving up that Deorr will be found and going home with them.

That empty ride home without him. Then returning where all his things are like clothes and toys.

Worst of all telling the two other children their little brother is lost and not coming home.

I hope somebody is counseling them about the hard days ahead. I just can't imagaine their sadness and grief.

I have stated in previous posts that there is an individual - David Paulides (who formally worked in some capacity in law enforcement) - who has written a series of books called Missing-411. In these books, he recounts hundreds of unsolved missing persons cases of children (some Deorr's age) and adults who have gone missing in National Parks (and nearby wilderness areas) in the U.S., Canada, and in some other locations around the world… all under similar circumstances. After careful examination of these disappearances, he has concluded that people are disappearing from North America's National Parks and Forests at a rate that few people realize, and all under very similar circumstances. However, from what I have read and heard Paulides say in online or radio interviews, he does not believe those disappearances are the work of a serial killer/killers - and at this point he can only postulate as to what may be happening. However, in his books he tries to just give the facts about each disappearance and talk about the similarities and patterns without going too much into what he believes may be happening.

One of the reasons he discounts a serial killer(s) is the remoteness of the locations where these children (and adults) go missing as well as the randomness of the events.

As far as dates, lists and details of such disappearances - it has taken Paulides something like 6 years to compile the information as the National Park Service (at least in the US) maintains there is no central list of database of such disappearances - and there have been thousands - and that each park keeps its own list.

Paulides has created a map to show "cluster areas" of these disappearances based on the information he has gathered. Click here for a link to one version of his cluster map.

Understand that Paulides is also involved in researching the Bigfoot phenomena. However, I have heard him speak in interviews on YouTube about how, although he believes there may be a Sasquatch connection, he feels he still does not understand what is really happening other than the fact that these disappearances are real.

Now - there is still the possibility Deorr did fall into the stream and drowned and his body was swept away in the rapidly moving water (at least it looked rapidly moving in one of the videos that was posted.) He may also have made his way to the reservoir and drowned. But, if neither of these scenarios occurred, then he unfortunately has joined the list of children who have disappeared "in the blink of an eye" in a National Park or Forest. I am praying that they find him.

It's like a large first aid kit. I don't know if you have ever had an embulance called to your home, but when they come one of the emt's will have a big bag full of all the supplies they might need in their line of work.

I have a few nurse and fire fighter friends who also keep ones in their personal vehicles. They like to be prepared should they ever be present during an emergency outside their lines of work.

The parents have been cleared by LE. We are not to sleuth the parents. Good, I agree as I found no alarm bells going off with them. Has LE said the Grandpa and friend are "solid"? I ask because they seem to be the last people to have seen Deorr whether they know this or not. There has been little to no talk by LE as to these two people. This bothers me. Is this normal not to discuss the very last people to see a missing person alive? Or maybe grandads friend was off fishing at the time, but we don't know because no one is telling us about the last on wn moments of little Deorrs whereabouts. THIS BOTHERS ME. Sure maybe we don't need to know, but we are asked to consider things like an abduction.
In the end I still believe he got in the creek. But this case makes me nuts in its vagueness.

I agree, but I also think that if one of my children were missing, I would stay right where they went missing. I guess in my mind if I stayed in the same place, they might come back (obviously not realistic with DeOrrs age), but I would not rest knowing I was at home, and my child was somewhere presumably alone. I couldn't face my house, my friends, my life without my child. So I would stay and not leave until they either have me undeniable proof he isn't there anymore, or he was back with me. IMO

They were replying back to the comment on 1010, asking what an EMT bag is. The reason it's being ask is because in the interview a reporter ask about an EMT bag and there was no further mention of it.

Lol nobody knows. If you watch the full interview of the parents it is mentioned about halfway through. It is while they are talking about social media rumors. I have looked at all the news sites facebooks trying to find out what the reference means and have found nothing.

I think if it were truly relevant whatever the social media rumors were would have continued and it would be easy to figure them out. I believe since there is no trace of it anymore it probably turned out to be nothing important.

Thank you. Look at the way the quote is worded. I don't think the parents have any plans to leave until they have answers. I would do the same thing. I can't believe there is nothing new since the sonar story

DeOrr's father is still doing ATV searches of his own.

Penner says the family has been asked to stay close by.

"They are looking around in the lower, they just want to be here you can understand so and we visit with them twice a day," said Penner.

Awww, that was a good idea your Mom had, IHNC. IDK, maybe it was the material that kept mine in good shape. Trust me, they were used and abused for a long time. Lol

I'm probably just grouchy tonight and tired of the parents getting picked apart with every little thing.

If it ends up that they are responsible, I would be completely and utterly shocked. Like I said in an earlier post, I don't say it often, but I really believe these parents are genuine and hurting badly. It really breaks my heart.

IMO...Current blankets are made of more sustainable fabrics... And stand up to most anything... (Kind of like soccer uniforms of the kids... They out last the kids who play in them! )

All of that makes sense. And it is true that his name should remain private. But I do wish we could hear, firsthand, EXACTLY what happened in the final moments that Deorr was seen by his family. So far, his greatgrandfather's account has been told 2nd hand by various family members. And they are inconsistent with each others versions. So it confuses me. I wish the friend could give a detailed statement. How is it that they thought Deorr went off to meet his parents? Did they see him walk off in that direction? Where were they went he went missing? At the fire pit? In the tent? I wish we had some details. JMO

ETA: Grandma said that great grandpa was watching the baby, looked away, then looked back and he just vanished. That<<< account does not jive with the version about him thinking the baby went off to meet the parents. JMO

Again though, she was not on the trip. She is just repeating her version of what she heard second hand. This is not a fact.
