Search crews are looking for a missing two year old boy who was camping with his family in the Leadore area.

He was last seen wearing a camo jacket, blue sweatpants and camo cowboy boots.

The last interview with the parents was conducted this past weekend.

Out of the four suspects interviewed, Bowerman said Reinwand’s story has been the most consistent. However, all four are still considered persons of interest in the case, the sheriff said.

"They were at the scene, so we won’t rule them out,” Bowerman said. “But in terms of persons of interest, I think mom and dad are higher on the list.”

LE and the organized searchers would need a warrant to search private lands. Some of this land may be held by companies/corporations. The warrants would have to be served on the proper officer of the corp/company to be valid. Those officers may not be in the state. Just a suggestion that it could take a while to get the warrant served.

Maybe some or all private lands were not searched during the initial massive search and VDK was just taking a jab by pointing out all the areas that have not been searched.

Sometimes I think that DeOrr was not on the trip to Leadore, but was left with GGP at the campsite for a few hours while IR was fishing.

What if these two are such rotten, no-good, bad character, drug addict, irresponsible people who neglect and abuse their child and an aging relative, with not much to lose, decided the child was better off with another family and that his last meaningful act on Earth was to arrange a disappearance?

There is a movie where the child is intentionally taken from her drug addict mother's at risk life. It was arranged by the child's uncle and the new parents were an LE commander and his wife. Some people get tired of waiting for the system to save the kid. I dunno.

Back to the issue of the "Hotwheels" being searchable by metal detector:

As suggested by Tr., I held my Pierce Brosnan as James Bond magnet up to my Sharkcruiser. No dice. Maybe what seems to be metal is so adulterated with other things that it doesn't "read" as metal to a magnet. Dunno, but the magnet itself works fine. Let's hope that if Deorr had any in his pockets, they were made of real metal (like those owned chez Neesaki), unlike my cute plastic one!

According to my google investigation Hotwheels cars are usually made from an aluminium/zinc alloy, neither of which are very magnetic. I did think a Hotwheels car should make a metal detector beep though?

My son has a basic metal detector but it's at grandmas house, otherwise I'd be up in his room now trying it out on his massive Hotwheels collection! We've used it on the beach and it picked up all kinds of metal tat. I wish now I'd tested it all against a proper magnet.

I'm pretty sure they are, in part anyway. We have over 100 in our house and some do feel different to others, but they are defo made of some type of metal. I've just checked about 20 out with a magnet and none are magnetic. IN some the base is plastic but the rest is metal. Interesting how they all feel a bit different, some are really heavy and solid, others feel more plasticky and lightweight.

Anyway. The point of me bringing all this up yesterday was to try and establish whether the parents have ever been asked if he had a toy car with him when he vanished. Jessica said in the interview that he literally always had one in his hand or pocket.

Not to quote myself. But speaking of bigger trucks or other toys. I don't know about other toddler boys but mine always leaves a trail. He will start out carrying as many of his trucks, cars as he can and slowly lose some as he goes.
I guess what I ment is I don't understand that part. Like how was his set up. Where were his other toys?

BBM - Well this is what I was getting at but thought I was being super silly! I would definitely say a hotwheels car would be picked up by a metal detector then. Did you all read the post at the end of the last thread about Ben Needham (also missing with a toy car in Greece) and the giant metal detectors they used in his case? Not sure how to being an old post forward, could somebody please do the honours?

RSBM. Can't speak for others but we bring very few toys when camping with a 3 and 6 year old (and didn't when they were younger, either). They got to bring their special "lovey" (don't go anywhere without that...) but other than that the expectation was that the kids were playing and exploring outside (supervised closely....). We'd take a ball or two and usually a football, frisbee and decks of cards and books for when it's rainy. It's amazing how much time they can spend drawing in the dirt with sticks and seeking out various bugs and such.

Why are we talking about finding cars with metal detectors if we don't know for sure that he had a car in his pocket (even though parents said he did)? Ground penetrating radar would be a much better search tool.

(Speaking of the car in his pocket, I can't remember if parents said it was in his jacket pocket or pants pocket. If pants pocket, do boys' pajama bottoms have pockets?)

EDIT - it was Grandpa Kunz that said he had a car in his pocket, but he did not say which pocket. Grandpa Kunz was not at the campground that we know of.

Would it be possible to hide a 2 yro's body in a water tank on a camp trailer or camper? Dispose of it somewhere down the road? IMO I think it may be possible.
