So guess what? We all know who did this to Denita. Everyone does. We arent giving up.

No reports of finding anything. One piece of information in this report though.

But, like the searches, police said they still do not enough to get justice for Hedden.

Poorly worded and typos. But, it does mean that prosecutors and LE are not likely to move on this case without finding Denita first. Previously LE seemed to indicate that more than one person knows what happened to Denita or knows where she is. I would hope LE is trying to find ways to put pressure on them at a minimum going after whoever is the weakest link. I would like to think that if others know where Denita is that their own life can be at risk since the person responsible for Denita has already proven what they are capable of doing and would not have any compunction in doing the same to them.

Soon there will be a reward for the arrest and conviction of the person that did this. Someone that knows and needs cash will talk.

Hopefully that will do it. If someone had a conscience the family would be able to start on the path of going forward.

Yes. It'll be a significant amount of cash. And those that know what happened will def talk. With "friends" like that, there is no loyalty especially where theres financial gain.

There may be some kind of update in this case coming. Can't be sure.

LITCHFIELD, Ill. (KMOV.com) - Remains were found in a lake near Litchfield, Illinois on Wednesday.

The remains were found in Lake Lou Yaeger and it is raising speculation that the remains belong to a woman to a Macoupin County missing since January.
The family of Denita Hedden says the body discovered was a woman and they said they are waiting to see if the remains are hers.

Praying for closure for her family :praying:

LITCHFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — A body was found in or around Lake Lou Yaeger in Litchfield on Wednesday.

Multiple officials are on scene investigating, but aren't saying anything at this time.

The Missing Person Awareness Network confirmed the body is a female.

They also said Denita Heddens' significant other was at the scene, but was escorted away since the corner hadn't arrived yet.

BBM. Interesting.

There was some hint in SM chatter that something was afoot on Monday, hence my post that there might be an update in the case coming.

My sense was it was either of two scenarios. The first scenario would be that family agreed to go with lesser charges or a plea in exchange for Denita's location. The second scenario would be that LE had narrowed down the location and the scheduled search for this weekend was in that area and again an offer of a deal if led to Denita rather than searchers finding her.

That all said, we don't yet have confirmation of who was found yet. We also have the media using the term "significant other" to describe the person who was there with LE today so it isn't entirely clear who that is though everything seems to point at the person that reported her missing.

Female body allegedly found near Litchfield lake; identity still unknown

LITCHFIELD — A female body was allegedly recovered near Litchfield’s Lake Lou Yaeger late Wednesday, leading some to wonder if it is that of missing Macoupin County woman Denita Hedden.

Few details were available Wednesday, but the Missing Person Awareness Network NFP Facebook page provided an update at 8:59 p.m. Wednesday saying a body — and later clarifying that the body is that of a short female, according to their sources — was found “in the waters in Litchfield, Illinois.”

Search for Hedden dampened by weather

Featherstone read a statement prepared by Mike Hedden. She said, in part, “On behalf of him, the children, the family, we would like to thank the Missing Persons Awareness Network and all the search and rescue teams and the volunteers for their time and effort in trying to bring our loved Denita home. A very large thank you to Gia Hoffman for all your dedication and moral support throughout this difficult time. We would love to find a way to pay you guys back, because there is no words to explain how grateful we are for all of this. Dee was one of the happiest people that anybody could ever meet. She always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude about everything. Nothing ever got her down. She loved live, she loved her friends, and most of all she loved her family. The four children that she had were the most important things in her life. She was one of those moms that was out there on the trampoline, dancing, jumping around, being goofy with the kids. Nothing will ever replace what we’ve lost with her.”

“I want to thank everyone that has been here for our family, especially the Missing Persons Awareness Network for setting up the search,” said Plunkett. “I would also like to thank Gia Marie Hoffman and the SAR teams, along with all their volunteers, for all their hard work to bring home my mom. She was a great mother. She was always happy and dancing. Family was her first priority. She went to the park a lot, took long walks and liked to go shopping. She was always laughing and smiling. Denita was a very positive person even in her worst times. She took care of everyone that needed help. She was a great person and a wonderful mother.”
