The Joliet Police Department issued an advisory on Tuesday seeking the community's help in locating a missing 33-year-old woman. Jasmine J. Morrow was reported missing seven days ago, July 2, by her mother.

According to police, Morrow is 5-foot-11, weighs 187 pounds and was "last seen wearing a white shirt, pink pants, and white shoes."

Joliet Police noted that Morrow is currently homeless and she often frequents Black Road/Route 30, Chicago and McDonough Streets, and Jefferson and Hickory Streets.

Police asked anyone who may have any information on her current whereabouts to call Detective Paul Rodriquez at 815-724-3020, or the Joliet Police Department's non-emergency number at 815-726-2491.

A community vigil this week at a Joliet church on South Ottawa Street ended with the arrest of 40-year-old Joliet resident Konika Morrow on charges of obstructing a police officer and aggravated assault. Joliet Police posted a lengthy news bulletin about the incident on their Facebook page Wednesday.

"Officers observed a (person) on a dirt bike riding southbound on Ottawa. Officers pursued the dirt bike and it eventually pulled over. As (officers) were speaking with the driver, Joshwa J. Cooley, 19, Joliet, the large crowd from the church came over and told Cooley not to talk to the police and it was OK to ride ATVs in the street," Joliet Police announced.

As time went on, "the crowd began threatening the officers with harm to them and their families and made racial/derogatory remarks towards the officers. At one point, Morrow, approached the officers and she was told to stay back," Joliet Police maintained.

According to police, "when an officer put his arm out to keep Morrow from the other officers, Morrow attempted to hit the officer with her arm. After a brief struggle, Morrow was placed into custody."

The vigil was for missing 33-year-old Joliet resident Jasmine J. Morrow, who was reported missing on July 2 by her mother.

The missing woman was arrested on domestic violence charges. Police blotter: DUI, domestic battery, sex abuse, more I don't know if she's still in a relationship with whomever filed those charges against her.

Family and friends of a missing Joliet woman continued their search for her on the city’s east side Thursday night.

Jasmine Morrow, 33, was reported missing July 2. Her mother, RMH, 58, said it wasn’t like her daughter to not be in contact with her, and she broke down in tears before a group of about 20 people who came to canvass the neighborhood near the BP gas station at
6 McDonough St. The gas station is where Hester last saw her daughter.

On July 9, a prayer vigil was held for Morrow’s missing cousin, Jasmine Morrow, outside Sacred Heart Church on South Ottawa Street.

The vigil was interrupted by officers pursuing an ATV and a dirt bike.

The officers pulled over one of the bikers, Cooley, and a “large crowd from the church came over and told Cooley not to talk to the police, and it was OK to ride ATVs in the street,” police said.

Konika Morrow said the police account is false and that one of the officers “rushed me to the ground like he’s playing football.”

The mother of a missing Joliet woman said she is asking for volunteers to help search for daughter.

Police found a female victim "who appeared to have been there for some time." Due to the level of decomposition, it was too soon Friday morning to determine her cause of death, the post said.

The Will County Coroner's Office had not yet released her identity Friday, but police said she was not Jasmine Morrow, who was reported missing in July.

Joliet Woman Has Been Missing for More Than a Month: Police
Jasmine Morrow’s family first knew something was wrong when the 33-year-old didn’t pick up her check from work.

The Joliet woman who has been missing for more than a month had fallen on hard times and lost her apartment, but was working at a temp agency to get back on her feet, her family said.

thank you @PommyMommy, for keeping Jasmine's thread updated. Women that look like her just don't get the same coverage here or elsewhere and yet, they are just as important to those who know and love them. Jasmine's mother is just heartbroken for her daughter... and someone knows something.
