''ROSCOE, Ill. (WTVO) — On Friday, July 13, 2012, the body of a newborn baby boy was found on a conveyor belt inside a recycling center at 13125 N. Second St., Roscoe.

Detectives say the infant likely arrived at the business by a truck belonging to one of several regional garbage companies after being placed in someone’s trash.

The Winnebago County Coroner’s Officer named the infant “Baby Noah,” and determined that he was probably born alive.

The baby’s parents have never been located, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case.

Anyone with information about the death of Baby Noah or the whereabouts of his parents is asked to contact the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office at 815-319-6400 or leave an anonymous tip with Rockford Area Crime Stoppers at 815-963-7867.''

''ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Wednesday marks a tough decade for a community trying to come to sense with the death of an innocent child, who’d be turning ten this year, with few if any answers.

“Every once in awhile, there is a teddy bear, or something there,” said Former Winnebago County Coroner Sue Fiduccia. “We don’t know if it’s mom or not, we don’t know who it is.”

Fiduccia was the coroner for Winnebago County that day back in 2012, when a newborn was found dead on a conveyor belt at a Roscoe recycling center. An infant, who spent the last moments of a life cut way too short, surrounded by garbage.

“I said Matt, we cannot keep calling this baby just a baby, we need to name it,” said Fiduccia. “I said to Matt, it’s your case, you name this baby, and he came up with baby Noah. He was then identified as a real person, not just a piece of trash.”

“We went through piles and piles of documents in the garbage trying to track where the baby may have been placed,” said Former Winnebago County Dominic Iasparro. “It would be very rare that just the mother of the child knows about this, so if anyone knows anything come forward, you can do it anonymously.”

''ROCKFORD — Winnebago County detectives canvassed areas of Rockton, Roscoe, Poplar Grove and Candlewick Lake today to try to determine how the body of a full-term baby boy ended up at a Roscoe recycling center Friday.

The investigation into the death of Baby Noah took detectives and sheriff’s deputies to those areas because they all recently had garbage taken to the recycling center.

“We know that certain loads of garbage were delivered to the recycling center on the day that the baby was found, and we know where that originated,” Winnebago County Sheriff Deputy Chief Dominic Iasparro said.''

“He was a beautiful baby boy,” Fiduccia said. “He had all of his fingers, all of his toes. ... We found no abnormalities in the autopsy.”

The baby was white and had dark hair.''
