I hate to ask this, but are you sure it was just the one person's remains in there? 100% Northern European is so far from African/European/a touch of Asian ancestry like in the previous estimate.Yes, the previous work was not correct.
DNA extract was from a single source (one skeletal fragment) and other members of her family have the same ancestry as she does. The previous analysis was simply incorrect. DNA sequencing is far more sensitive than other methods that are used to probe DNA markers.I hate to ask this, but are you sure it was just the one person's remains in there? 100% Northern European is so far from African/European/a touch of Asian ancestry like in the previous estimate.
If she died in 1993 (year of last known contact), she would have been about 19. It's a really sad case. Law enforcement could not even find a photo of her.Any idea how old Marie was?
I can't find any Ancestry records of her besides her family tree profile. It's like she fell off the face of the world. If she died in 1993 (year of last known contact), she would have been about 19. It's a really sad case. Law enforcement could not even find a photo of her.
I had no luck.Anyone want to try to find Marie's photo from a yearbook?
You can imagine how hard it was to identify her given the lack of records.I can't find any Ancestry records of her besides her family tree profile. It's like she fell off the face of the world.
I can! It looks like her father was adopted as well. Y'all do good work. You can imagine how hard it was to identify her given the lack of records.

DNA testing will always be the most precise way to determine historical origins. So the isotopes were out as well? Because I had been looking through missing persons reports from Montana, Alberta, etc.
