Illinois' original shelter in place order began Saturday, March 21st at 5PM CST and was to run through April 7th. Today, Governor Pritzker announced that the order would continue until April 30th.

At the time of this writing, we have 5.994 confirmed positive cases, 99 deaths, and 35,225 tests administered.

Last Saturday was a beautiful day in Chicago, and the result was, of course, TOO MANY people flocking to the lakefront to get some fresh air.
Our mayor, Lori Lightfoot was not at all amused and shut the lakeshore path and another very popular running path down.

Ever since then, the interwebs have exploded with memes, showing a stern faced Lightfoot popping up when you attempt to go outside.

Sadly, Mayor Lightfoot has shown that she is not going to practice what she has been preaching, after getting a haircut because she is in the public eye and that she, apparently unlike the rest of us, takes hygiene seriously. She took a photo with the girl who cut her hair - standing right next to each other, and the girl posted it on Instagram.

Epic fail.
