That’s a good question. I don’t think there’s a great reason to associate a motorcycle with the case. My lackluster reason at first was because someone I suspected for unrelated reasons had posted about a long ride around Indiana then. Secondly, although the killer is considered likely to be from the area or familiar with the area, if it’s an outsider then I consider motorcyclists more likely than others to discover the side roads, byways, and pretty nooks and crannies of a state. (Also truckers.) Thirdly, the current people being discussed ride motorcycles. Others may have additional reasons. But I don’t think known facts of the case otherwise give us a motorcycle.I feel like I am missing something. Is there some reason that people naturally associate motorcycles with the murder of these girls?
On another note, the ride was organized by a friend of the mother of Abby. Apparently, thousands of people signed up. It looks like the weather was beautiful that day, too, and it seems that when the weather is nice, people in the area don't really consider biking to be unusual.
