I have been quite interested from the very beginning in the Wilson Bridge due to the Wilson cave. Wilson Bridge is a truss bridge spanning Deer Creek and is located less than a mile from the CS:

What I did not know, there is an Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service gauge operated by the National Weather Service right there in the creek by the Wilson Bridge:

I think we have seen water levels recorded in the creek from that station for the month of February. A member posted it her many threads back. I will try to find it when I get back home.

Before I posted I did a google search and easily found the article. I think it was also in the media thread . I remember the quote of "comings and goings etc" and I thought it referred to illegal stuff but could be liaisons. It wasn't referring to workers because it mentioned all times of the day and night. I will look in media thread and edit this post if I find it, as appropriate.

Eta. It is page 13 of the media thread posted by Spellbound dated 7 Apr and it is a newsbug herald journal article.

With respect, and for clarity, Spellbound does not have a post on April 7 in the media thread. Also, some members may not realize page #s are not helpful. I remember a story about RL confronting someone who had a meth lab at the back of the cemetery and had assaulted a woman who told RL about it and he confronted the guy.. I cannot find the link right now but will keep trying. So for now, IIRC and JMO

I would have to look through my links but I thought I saw some stuff about field activity there on a federal site. That said, there is this site:

It has field activity related to water testing and other activities for Deer Creek. When the search page comes up use the drop down to select Carroll County. Don't select anything in the other drop downs. There will be a list that comes down and you will see activities and who conducted those activities listed.

If you look around the site you may find more information about or links to who does activities related to that specific creek.

Below is a map of the streets around the portion of the Monon High Bridge Trail that are relevant to this case. The road that goes directly under the bridge appears to be public, N 625 W and intersects at W 200 N---W 200 N intersects with the Hoosier Heartland Highway.

(It's possible that as 625 nears the home that it leads to, as it goes under and past the Monon bridge, that this section is private--I couldn't tell from the map. But it looks like a public road.)

The houses in that vicinity on 300 and 550 are all very nice--multi-bedroom, expensive for the area. One thought that occurred to me as I traveled the area virtually by way of Google Maps is that, possibly (and this is highly speculative), the killer was actually back in this area checking for possible burglary opportunities, and happened on the girls. That's the area he's in--easy access to the rear of some of these nicer homes. And though he may not have planned on doing anything that day, it's the perfect way to scope out the terrain. Violent crime is low in Delphi, but personal property crime is in keeping with the national average.

W 200 N crosses over IN 25. Just wanted to clarify that there is not an interchange.

Unfortunately, murderers like this are high risk takers. I think the higher the risk the more they are thrilled by their murderous acts. We really will never be able to ascertain why they take such high risks but I do think it is part of the game/thrill. All we know...is they do ...time, and time again. Due to the change in the MO of so many violent criminals in recent years it has led many people to lock their doors during the middle of the day along with locking them at night. Even if they live in very safe neighborhoods.

This was a remote wooded area and he isn't the only one who has selected these kind of areas before.

Yet we have seen so many cases for years on WS where predators have abducted their victims right in broad daylight on very busy streets. So it does not surprise me in the least BG selected this area to commit homicides against two young girls.

In most all of the abductions resulting in rape/ murder that were committed during broad daylight no one saw or heard a thing either.

Many abductions/murders have also happened in remote areas or county parks with wooded areas in them or walking trails or jogging paths right during the daytime.

Just like home invasions are on the rise now and it use to be they would come into someone's home during the night or when no one was home...steal and then leave. But now they are invading homes with victims inside right in the middle of the daytime and many are ending in gruesome over-killings of those who were caught inside when the home invader/s turned rapists/murderers barged in.

The violent criminals in our society seem to have become bolder and bolder now. Daylight does not deter them anymore.

My hunch is he'd scouted/surveiled the area beforehand.

A group I was in back in college made a makeshift water purity checking device. It used wavelengths of different light sources to measure various elements, chemicals, etc., in a pond.

Like anything with a controller, it takes samples at various intervals, depending upon how it's set.

Hi bird! I distinctly recall reading about workers seen at front of mears property...around time I was searching online who lived there .. a grandson ... etc. Not the article you mentioned. But appreciate you trying. So long ago last Feb..March..maybe April... my sleuthing online has taken me out on many twisted tangents!

LE is not going to say anything even if they know they are looking for only one suspect. Have they said they believe he was in the company of an accomplice? Was that displayed on the numerous billboards along with the photos of BG and the girls? Has the public been told recently to be on the lookout for two men or more who was in the area when the girls were killed?

Or is it just SOP for LE to never eliminate any possibilities before an arrest is made like 99% of other police department across the nation never do? In the Washington DC home invasion mass murder of four that police jurisdiction at the time surmised he had help. That was at the beginning at the time it was just an assumption on their part, and they know now he did not have an accomplice, and was the sole perpetrator. They never came out and corrected it for the sole arrest of the perp and no one else spoke for itself.

Have they come out lately speaking to the press stressing they believe he has an accomplice? All I have seen of late is they are trying very hard to identify the man (BG) they say is the suspect in the murders. Has LE come forward asking the public to help identify another man who was in the area? Surely if witnesses or a witness saw BG they would also know he was accompanied by another male. I really think if they thought more than one was involved they would have clearly stated that and also had a shadow profile of another man on the billboard along with BG, letting the public know to be on the lookout for two males instead of only one.

I actually think the opposite. I think they have much more on the video including voices showing them that BG is the only one they should be looking for. That is why all of their efforts have concentrated on this one man.

Before an arrest of any suspect is made the police have said in several other cases they "believe" the suspect may have had help. It is only an assumption at that time..not an affirmation backed up with proof, and most all of the time in the end it turns out to be one sole suspect.

I don't think they have any evidence of another suspect involved in these murders. It is very obvious to me they are honed in on locating one suspect only, and that is BG.

IMO, this was done by one sole murder and LE knows it is BG.

The only thing I can think of is that LE want to keep that option on the table in case there is an accomplice and BG wants to squeal about the other person. Also, (and I am thinking specifically about Ian Huntley and Maxine Carr ) there may be a partner who has lied about BG whereabouts or has provided a false alibi or assisted in other ways or whatever. They both will have no qualms about anything, including killing again to keep someone quiet if necessary. LE must be ten steps ahead if they want to catch BG and get a conviction. IMO.
