Please take the time to read other missing children cases on this site. There are parents here who do not know what happened to their children, but would love to have answers no matter what heartbreak those answers bring to them. Not knowing what happened is far worse than learning the truth in most cases. I haven't seen many cases here where people say, "Don't look if you suspect my child is dead." or where they would ever tell LE, the FBI, TES, or others they did not want their help to search. To some, just getting LE or the FBI to keep searching would be all they are asking for in their cases. To others, having strangers give up their spare time to look under every leaf and rock would be a Godsend.

Don't just spend your time on Caylee's case. Look around and see the hundreds of cases we have worked on here for years to find answers...any answers. You will see none that resemble this family and the way they have handled themselves with their loved ones missing, imo.
:blowkiss:

Nope because I have never felt anything for them but compassion.
I felt entirely sick watching the Aug 14th Video the way that their daughter treated them like they were Pieces of cr@p it was terribly painful to watch that (besides the other behavior)
Cindy no matter what loved and adored Caylee, and also Casey so she is a heartbroken woman who has lost a beautiful Granddaughter that she helped raise and a Daughter

Children do not always turn out the way they do because of how their parents raise them. They can be raised in the best home and still have issues.

Ive always thought people too hard on George and Cindy, especially Cindy.

So thanks for this thread :)
Same with me Jane.
Also, that one part, when Cindy is crying, and Casey smiles and says to George, why is she crying already? why did she THINK, she was crying?! Her grandchild was MISSING, YOUR child Casey!!!!
My heart broke for the Anthony's while I watched that video.

What exactly was the obvious neglect? By ALL accounts, from friends and family, Casey was a very good and loving mother. That appears to be how everyone who came in contact with her and those who knew her, viewed her.
So what is the obvious neglect you are speaking of?
Yes...well according to some friends...she took Caylee to adult parties where they were getting drunk and doing drugs while leaving her alone on the sofa to party outside with other friends. She also left Caylee in the care of a male stranger while she spent time with her boyfriend in the bedroom, according to his (Clint's) story.

So I guess not ALL accounts from her friends and family paint her as a good and loving mother.

I watched the Aug 14 video tape showing CA is upset, then crying, then KC chipper as always says to GA "she's crying already?" *chuckle* from KC.

In subsequent convo, same tape, it became clear that the only person who should be upset or for whom people should feel sympathy is KC. Her anger takes main stage....about being imprisoned...."when this whole thing started" ie, with her arrest not Caylee gone.

Seeing Cindy crying, peering at the vid to see her daughter's face, the head down bowed over, finally leaving for a break really upset me. KC did nothing. Not even, what is wrong? What is making you cry? KC is everyone's "best resource" after all for the answer to the questions.

This is the only time I really felt sorry for CA. Wanted to comfort or to help her.

As time goes forward though, when CA is telling us to get off our azzes, etc, and believe her lies....bs-ing the detectives....making silly fabrications....sputter! I think KC / CA are too similar.

the way it would be in their favor is that cindy would not have to explain the fight with casey over the check or that her mother (shirley) had confronted her that afternoon about it. The alibis could have been much different on the 9th than on the 15th, too. There are many reasons the earlier date could have been an advantage to them.

I don't believe it would have been revealed in open court if it wasn't an issue for le. Ym would have simply stated there was an error in the dates and none of that would have been brought up for the record, imo. I think it was important for le to show that cindy did lie about the initial date right along with casey.

if it was an issue she would have been arrested.........

Different opinions are welcome here people. don't be surprised or put off if people don't agree.

Didn't Lee laugh inappropriately also? I think maybe this is just a nervous habit when things are bad that they both share. Just a hunch of course.

Very true. I have no reading on this family at all, let alone individually. TY for reminding me of that! This calls for a *chuckle*.

(Not being insolent, you are totally right....it uh, could be nerves...haha....good one, btw!)

So true! This is the one thing that I have not understood about the Anthony's attitude. It is also the main reason that they are getting negativity.

I want to point out that you can feel many things about one person. Just because I do not like some of the things that have happened in this case, does not mean I hate them. I dont. Nor would I take matters into my own hands and harm any of them (as in vigilante). Very strong words and rather offensive.

She was a liar and a thief, to boot. She was also an able-bodied young woman who provided no financial support for her child.

IMO its just wrong to search only for a living child, the thought of a little one decaying out in the elements is almost too much to bear.-they deserve justice and they deserve a proper memorial. There should be no harm in a dual search...more ground covered, more people searching. I would think more people would give up in cases where search options are limited, or lack of cooperation by the parents.

IMO IF the little one decaying was a grandchild, just try to imagine being expected to bear it .Mr.Mark NeJame IIRC was called dracula by many also alot of other things were said about him before he turned into a saint to the ones calling him dracula.HE said It best when he said how do you tell grandparents to accept the death of their granddaughter without a body.No harm at all in having both searches I fully agree but Le was not searching for a live child. And neither was Tim Miller and thats why Cindy was upset .

Actually I have no idea if I am right :) Someone just pointed out to me the other day how many similar mannerisms and facial expressions my 7 siblings and I have. I thought maybe this is a funky little quirk they share. I know people that laugh when they are scared or bothered or nervous. It's really a funny thing (no pun intended)

Just to be clear I didn't call any one a vigilante.

It was posted about extremes bleeding hearts and extremists (vigilantes) to which I then posted about the world in general.

So if you were referring to my words being offensive then I am sorry but I think you misunderstood my post

:)

But, George and Cindy did not know this was going on at the time. So, my question was in response to the allegations that GEORGE should have protected Caylee from the obvious neglect. What was the obvious neglect he knew about, to be able to protect her from?

I tend to agree with you, SS, that this was more than an error. I was shocked to read (please don't make me get my notes out) that it was the night before the first bail hearing that YM went over to the Anthony's home to confront them on this date issue. That was several days into the investigation!!! It's hard for me to swallow that all 4 Anthonys, after several days in which to rethink all the facts, could still accidentally be a week off on the last time they saw Caylee.

Didn't Lee laugh inappropriately also? I think maybe this is just a nervous habit when things are bad that they both share. Just a hunch of course.

My sister laughs at funerals because she gets very nervous and does not like to cry in front of strangers so when Lee laughed I did not read anything into it.

OH JEEZZ, I said I THINK!!! NO, I have NOT known her her whole life but people don't get like that over night.
I disagree. A traumatic event like this CAN cause someone to change over night.

I have to say, I always thought the 9th was just a mistake too, not an intentional lie. If you think, like I do, because most of the time it is, that Father's Day is the 2nd Sunday in June, then that would have made it the 8th, but it's really the 2nd Sunday after the first Monday, so since June 1st fell on a Sunday in 2008, Father's Day was really the 3rd Sunday in June. It is a bit confusing and not alot of people realize the "after the first Monday" part. So if you are just thinking Father's Day and not the actual date, I can see where someone could make this mistake. And didn't Cindy say she had taken Caylee to see her Dad for Father's Day right from the beginning? If she really wanted to lie, she would have left out the part about it being Father's Day no?
