I seen this in my paper today and looked for someone who was missing that looked similar and thought i would get my WS family opinion. Heres the link to the story http://nwi.com/articles/2009/02/10/news/lake/doc3a4b55e58f669bc7862575580080801e.txt

Reva J. Lenzy looks alot like this Jane Doe.

Her DLC was only five days prior to the discovery of Jane Doe's body.

Gary IN is about 300 miles from Jennings, MO (See Google Map)
Jennings, MO to Gary, IN - Google Maps

There is no height or weight info on Reva, but her age is within range, and she does have pierced ears, as evidenced by the earrings in her photo.

DoeNet mentions "distinct scarring to face, chest, abdomen, and back", although the facial scarring is not apparent in the reconstruction, and there is no mention of scarring in her NamUs file. Reva appears to have a diagonal scar, and possibly another parallel to it above her right (viewer's left) eyebrow. She also has some skin discoloration that may be scarring over her right cheekbone. The DoeNet description is not specific enough to confirm if this is the same scarring to which they are referring.

Carl, I see some facial similiarities. The doe is listed at 102 lbs which is very thin for a ht of 5'4"-5'6". Reva's face with her neck size looks like she may carry a little more wt than 102 lbs. Not saying she is fat, but she looks like she would be carrying more than 102. It might be worth a call to the detective handling Reva's case to see if you can get ht. and wt. info but I'd bet, unless she is much shorter than 5'4"-5'6" she is bit more than 102.

I called the State of Missouri Missing Persons Unit to get Reva's height and weight information.

Reva is listed as 5'3" and 170 lbs.

You're right, Cubby. She appears to be much too heavy to be this Jane Doe, unless the body was so badly burnt that the body was reduced down to 60% of her normal weight.

It doesn't appear that this is likely though.

The woman on the line indicated that they would be willing to look at the possible anyway, so I went ahead and gave her the NCMEC Number of the UID.

So are you saying that you think these two unidentified cases are one in the same?

No, I just find them eerily similar - perhaps someone kidnapped 2 AA females and held them for a time before killing them both?

Longtallcold: I tried to find info about NamUs 4844 yesterday and the only thing I could come up with is that other Jane Doe. There is almost no info about 4844 on Namus (I wonder if LE is going to fill out the forms a little more?). I looked through news articles for awhile and only came up with the other Jane Doe. So what's the deal? Why is there nothing on 4844?
Why are there two very similar cases in the same area? (just wondering out loud)
ETA:
Are we sure they aren't the same? Right now, the only thing I see different: the date is a few days off and one doe's est age is late teens to early 20s and the other's is 13-15. Hmmm. I am going to have to google-fu a little more.

Not sure at all - but since both UID are in the same county - handled by the same coroner, I guess I *assumed* they would know. Hope you find something deca!

Yes, I guess they are the experts!:rocker:

Well, in any case I looked for about an hour last night for something...anything...about 4844- and nothing. Granted I couldn't look at one of the local papers and I had to weed through a ton of stuff (because a lot of people just happened to be found around that time naturally and because of a large snowstorm that gripped the east and affected the midwest) but there was still nothing.

How can a teenage girl be found dead (we don't know if this is accidental or not) and there not be any info about her? Namus doesn't have anything except height and weight. I was hoping for at least the circumstances they found her.

Anyway, if there are any good sleuths reading this...please try to find something on this young lady so we can send her home. I am a basic sleuth at best.

NAMUS is silent on DNA and Doe says DNA is available. beyond that there are no identifiers so unless they got DNA, it's not likely she'll be identified.

I'm a little bit scared to even suggest this match as the thought of it is beyond horrific:

First of all, there was another UID (2ndUID) found, also in Lake County, 2 days before this UID:
https://identifyus.org/en/cases/4844
13 to 15 year old Black/African American Female

SIX years earlier, 32 miles away two sisters went missing whilst shopping in Cook County in Illinois:

Diamond Bradley - aged 3 (nearly 4)

Diamond would be a little under the 2ndUID estimated age range, however I found out that Tionda's father is Moroccan, adding weight to the original "Unidentified Black/Possibly Biracial Female" UID.

________________________________________________________________

I've submitted - 2ndUID has DNA in codis and Diamond has a sample submitted so it should be a quick ruling.

Also asking for more information on 2ndUID.
